Louis' POV

My body prepared to shake Anna off, push past the photographers, and run after Harry but mother's strong grip held me back.

"Don't forget what you promised me," she said into my ear as photographers snapped more pictures of me and Anna, "this will come with consequences so if he can't handle this, then he isn't right for you."

I gave her a look. Not an angry look, but a hurt one.

"Your friend is very talented," a familiar-looking man came up to me.

"Oh," I furrowed my eyebrows, "yeah he is."

"I'd love to get into contact with him," he smiled, "we'd be pleased to sign someone that talented."

I finally recognized him, Richard Griffiths, creator Modest! Management.

"Well that's good to hear," I shook his hand. I realized how good this was. The fact that Richard heard Harry sing an original song just got him a career, "I'd love to give you his contact information, I'm sure he'll be happy to do business with you."

"I'd appreciate that," he patted my shoulder, "is he a close friend of yours?"

"He.. uh-" I struggled to answer, "he is my best friend.. and the most important person in my life really."

Richard gave me a confused look then glimpses over at Anna who was talking to her friend.

"Oh and Anna of course," I played it off and lied.

"Of course," he laughed along, shook my hand once more, then left.

I thought about Harry's song and the deeper meaning within the lyrics he wrote. The song, I obviously knew, was for me.. for us. I smiled to myself and knew that once this party was over, that I'd be rushing into his arms.

Harry's POV

I wandered around the quiet town with my guitar. The cool air relaxed my rapid heartbeat and I decided to sit in the middle of the road.

I sighed and closed my eyes for a moment. I memorized Louis' reaction to the song and how he just stared and stared and stared. Everyone around us were whispering, smiling, joking with one another but Louis just stared. He focused on me and remained such a steady focus that it sent shivers down my body.

"I don't want to run you over again but you're giving me no choice here," I heard a voice shout at me.

I turned to see Louis in one of his many cars with the convertible top down and a bright smile on his face.

"What are you doing here?" I asked as I stood up.

"I was just driving around, nothing special," he chuckled.

"Yeah yeah yeah," I approached him with my guitar still in my hand.

He motioned his head for me to get into the passenger seat, I hesitated a bit but obeyed. I hopped in, rested the guitar in the back seat, and buckled my seatbelt.

"So what is the plan?" I asked as I looked at him.

He cupped a hand on my cheek then pinched it lightly before putting both hands on the driving wheel and speeding down the streets.
