A Feared Relationship

Chapter 5

I was currently roaming around, trees everywhere, beautiful blue bells covering the whole place. The place looked astonishing but the trees looked somewhat dead probably deprived from water; barely living. 

'

I slowly felt drowsy and weak what was happening to me? My vision was turning slightly blurry but I can see the imperfections that he has caused to me.  

'

My once toned and tanned skin was now deathly pale, my once soft skin dry as the fiery pits of hell. He has changed me. My once happy self, my once amazing life was shattered into breakable pieces of glass. I wanted to go home, to my family and friends but this place... I didn't know where I was.

'

The sky was slowly turning dark specs of red and orange indicating that it was almost night fall. The trees started buzzing with the relaxing hums of insects.

'

I was walking farther barefoot under the mossy green grass that was the moment when I heard a twig snap. His smell was near.

'

He was near.

'

Red light immediately went off in my mind he's coming. I ran as fast as I could avoiding getting scrapped by the prickly branches of trees out there to hurt me, wanting me to get caught and get back to him, to get hurt by him. 

'

I heard the splashing of water hitting the ground, there must be a waterfall somewhere here I thought to myself. I scavenged closer and closer to the sound of the water and finally reached a river which went down and formed a waterfall.

'

I was right.

'

The trees here in this place, were much more lively instead of the light green and dry brown coloured leaves I saw before. Stark green leaves cascaded down the trees effortlessly.

'

Little fireflies were dancing along the trees and made the whole scenery look like a slice of heaven.

'

I walked closer to the river and saw little pebbles in the side I bend down and glided my hands into the river's water watching it give my a relaxing feeling that I had been deprived from for months.

'

I leaned more forward and saw my reflection.

'

Staring right back at me was a girl I no longer recognised.

'

She used to have beautiful short black hair. She used to have dark brown eyes. She used to have happiness and completeness in those dark brown eyes. She used to have full baby pink lips.

'

She used to be me.

'

The girl staring at me was completely different.

'

Her once short hair was now longer that ever before, it was up to her thin bony stomach. Her once black hair turned into the colour of a sharp dark cherry.

'

Her once dark brown eyes had specs of cold. Her eyes were now emotionless, no traces of happiness; no traces of completeness. Her full baby pink lips were now streaked with her own blood.

'

That girl was a stranger, staring right back at me with tiredness evident in her eyes.

'

That girl was me.

'

I began to cry.

'

What did I do to deserve this?

'

What did I do so wrong that God had to punish me like this?

'

I heard another twig snap and then a whole tree branch fell down. It fell lifeless in front of me.

'

The trees suddenly stopped swaying and the traces of animal life quietened down.

'

Something was wrong... Something was definitely wrong.

'

I sniffed the air, it was now the smell of cinnamon with a mixture of roses filling in the once woodsy smell. It was intoxicating.  

'

I looked around frantically and bolted up. 

'

I heard more twigs snapping and smelt more scents. There was something or someone here and I most definitely knew that one way or another I'm going to be caught and captured. 

'

I began to run with the last ounce of energy I had left.   

'

I saw the end if the river that was a water fall and jumped off.

'

I was saving myself by ending my life. I closed my eyes immediately, making sure that there was no wildlife showing itself as I take my life.

'

Everything went down as slow motion my cherry red hair was flying upwards glistening as the moon's first appearance shown its rays at me.

'

I then closed my eyes immediately, making sure that there was nothing showing itself as I take my life.

'

That's when I felt the cold water hit my body like a thousand bullets hitting me at once. Prickling my skin with pain as it worked along hurting me through my hands, legs, arms and face.

'

I was drowning.  

'

I was dying.

'

 But little did I know on what awaited for me when I opened my eyes...

So that's the next chap I know it short I literally made it in 10 minutes - new world record!!! 

I am actually quite proud of myself.
