I silently watch Adrianna across the plane, as she studies the clouds that leisurely pass by the aircraft window, she was mystifyingly, puzzling, and mysteriously beautiful.

''Why are you looking at me like that?''

''W-what?'' I faltered trying to return back to reality

''Why are you looking at me like that'' she repeated, sliding her legs to her stomach, she leans her head on her knees facing me.

''Because you're confusing '' I quickly answered back, not thinking what to really say. But it was true...she was confusing.

''I think I'll take that as a compliment'' She lightly laughed, looking back out of the window. I smiled back not in response but in effect. Adrianna has this thing, I don't know how to really explain it. It's somewhat like her own presence makes me happy, even her smile is contagious. It's not forced at all, it's a feeling that I cannot help but begin to get stronger.

She turns her head from the window and asks "Come, sit here'' she taps the seat next to her.

I nodded accepting her gesture; I walk up to the seat and sluggishly sit down. As I turn my head to her I already see her staring at me.  Her eyes were examining my face, not missing a part of me. I follow her inquisitive gaze, her eyes are now drawn to my upper arm seeing the inking of tattoos.

''Wow'' She softly says, as she scans each of the tattoos.

Without asking she places her index finger on one certain tattoo, the pirate ship.

I was shocked when she touched me, she was acting differently after she went to see her mother. This was the lightest touch but it somehow sparked something inside me I wasn't sure I could comprehend.

''Is it painful?'' She looks up at me. I stare into her eyes, the shade of light brown, filled with curiosity and wonder.

I pause for a minute reliving the moment I got my first tattoo, which was the star. It was my 18th birthday, I still recall Zayn begging me to get a tattoo with him on that day.  I vividly remember the exhilarating stinging, making my goosebumps develop onto my skin and smelling the aroma of fresh ink. I would be lying if I said it wasn't addictive.

''Yeah, stings like a bitch at first but then you get used to it," I breathe, coming back from remenincing

"It really depends on where you get it though, if you get it where you have thin skin like your knee. Now that's going to kill-" I added, but I realised she was continuing to look at my tattoos, as if she was trying to figure out their meaning. Her eyes analysing, moving up and down. I found it quite fascinating how she was so intrigued by something so simple.

''Oh...right'' she spoke a few moments later, she continues to lightly trace her finger along the lines of the ink which kind of tickled.

''Why do you ask?" I questioned her; I haven't seen Adrianna act like this before. She's never asking questions or being curious.

"Why what? Sorry" She looks up from the tattoo and darts to my eyes. Something Adrianna never does. This is the first time she was looking into my eyes, without looking away.

I laugh at her curiousness, "Why are you so captivated by the drawings on my arms?" I ask the question again, but much simpler.

"Oh- sorry my bad" She weakly smiles before taking her finger off my upper arm.

''I've always been captivated about tattoos, they all ways have a story behind them," She says eyeing off the pirate ship tattoo again. I can tell she likes that one in particular.

''Same with photos, that's why I became a photographer'' She points at the camera equipment underneath her seat.

Curiosity and questions are clouding my thoughts about her, I want to ask a billion questions right now but I know she won't answer them all, like always.

''Why did you want to become a photographer?'' the question slips out of my mouth and I mentally slap myself. Argh. Great.

She froze when I asked her, not the reaction I was expecting.

''Honestly?'' She turned her head to me, staring me in the eyes.

''Honestly'' I nodded, making her continue.

''I became a photographer because I love capturing the moment, that is unable to reproduce,"

She paused for a minute.

''Photos never change they are always there, and you can look back at those times and say 'wow I wish it was still like this' or... '' She trailed off looking away from me and out the window.

''Yeah'' she slowly breathed looking back to me.

I was wordless, not knowing what to reply back. All I know is that there's more behind this, if only she would stop dogging the questions I keep asking her.

''Anyways...'' She took a breath of air and letting it escape from her mouth.

''Harry can I ask something?'' she suddenly initiates a possible question for me. My heart increases,

''Sure'' I grin

She looks at me examining my face again but then looks away from me.

It took her some time to say anything, it was as if she contemplating in her mind, battling with her own mind and with her words, "Uh, I-"

"I've always been fascinated about it my whole life, how it starts, the cause, the result"

It?

I kept quiet, listening to her. I realised that Adrianna wasn't crafting out what she was about to say next, rather, she was letting it flow without the hesitation.

"Love-" she turns to me, not looking at me, but at the ship once again, then slowly draws her eyes to mine. The way she said that word, love, was something she wasn't used to. As if it wasn't in her vocabulary, foreign to her.

"What is love, Harry?"
