Choosing

Chapter 1

Esme or Ruby as most people called her, was not excited for school. She just wanted to stay in bed and read Wattpad. But after being yelled at for the 5th time,she got out of bed.

She stared at the mirror and brushed her hair. Then she put on *outfit on top*.

Esme ran to her kitchen table and grabbed a granola bar. Still grumpy , she grabbed her backpack and started walking to school.

As she passed Crystal's house, one of her weird friends , she remembered how she thought her and Eddie should be together. She laughed out loud.
Luckily , Eddie was going to another school.

She continued walking and found 5 bucks on the floor. Wow, she thought , not bad. She decided to buy a Starbucks then make a run for school.

After buying a frappe, she walked to school. She was now in class, waiting for the bell to ring. Then she noticed two hot guys walk into class. They seemed to be glaring at each other.

They took a seat on either side of her. She flipped a coin in her head and decided to talk to the boy on her right.

"So , why are you glaring at that guy?",Esme asks him.

"That guy is Mario Selman. He ruined my party I had yesterday.",he said through gritted teeth.

"Aww, what a pity.", she said with fake sympathy.

"So who are you?",asked the nameless guy.

"Esme but most people call me Ruby. What about you, angry boy?".

"Brandon, Brandon Rowland.".

"I know a Brandon, hate his older brother though.",Esme said with disgust.

"Well, I hope you don't hate my brother.",he chuckles.

"Do you want to sit with my friends at lunch?", Brandon asks.

"Sure. My friends are probably talking about Kayla's new crush.",Esme answered.

"Who's Kayla?",Brandon questioned curiously.

"A disturbed friend who gets rejected a lot.",Esme tells him. Then the bell rings.

Esme focuses on the whiteboard then she catches someone's eye. It was Mario Selman.

He was glaring at her, but then looking at her curiosity. Esme just focused on the board again.

But Esme couldn't concentrate. So when the teacher turned their back, she talked to Mario.

"Stop staring,weirdo.",she told him.

"Nah.",he answered. His voice seemed to make anything sound smooth.

Esme rolled her eyes.

Minutes later the bell rang and Esme walked with Brandon.

"See you at break",Esme yelled as Brandon and her parted ways.

Esme opened her locker and Kayla appeared next to her.

"Who's he?",she asked her.

"Brandon Rowland.".

"Who?".

"Someone ... he is someone.".
