Tonight is the night. My nerves were all over the place as I smoothed out the wrinkles in my silk pink gown that stopped just a few inches above my knee.
Mr.Salvatore, it's a pleasure to finally meet you. I'm Naomi Watts.
I had been going over what I would say to Shane in my head for hours and I was sure that soon enough my brain was going to explode from being so overworked.
Relax.
I told myself as I adjusted a lock of my chocolate mane that matched the rest of my hair that was curled in big loose spirals down to my mid back.
I took one more glance at myself in my full body mirror before I marched out of my apartment, trying my hardest to ignore the continuous bumping of a headboard against the wall upstairs and strolled over to my Camaro that awaited me.
As soon as I started my car up and began on my way through the frenzied traffic of the Big Apple, my phone went off and with the swipe of my finger, I was connected to the caller on the other line.
"Ready to take the target down?" A smooth, masculine voice asked when I brought my phone up to my ear and a smirk formed upon my lips that were painted a dark shade red.
"More ready than ever." I whispered into the phone before taking a quick whip to the left at the last minute at a stop.

Stepping into the entrance of the Trump International Hotel and Tower made my heart pound triple time as I took in the extravagant decor and the elegantly dressed couples that packed into the large building.
I strolled over casually into a corner and pressed down on my ear piece, readjusting it as my eyes swept over everything.
Suddenly I noticed a familiar redhead turn from upstairs on the 97th floor and he sent a wink in my direction before he vanished just like that.
Leo.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, if you'd all make it up to the 98th floor, the ceremony will begin!" A man obviously in his middle age announced from the center of the bright room and immediately everyone began to rush to the elevators.
Some pushed and some even shoved as they tried to squeeze into one little elevator.
Ever heard of the stairs?
I huffed and made my way over to one of the stairways, slipping out of my pink stilettos before literally sprinting up the stairs.
By the time I made it up to the top, I was panting and felt hot, but I simply ignored it and slipped back into my heels.
"Never again." I muttered under my breath to myself before I crept down a corner, passing by numerous rooms before finding myself at the entrance of the party.
Talk about gorgeous.
Stepping in, I took in the darkness of the area that was illuminated in various areas by the dancing of different colored lights.
As I wondered deeper inside, I noticed that there was a balcony and a few were standing outside mingling among themselves.
That's when I suddenly realized how lonely I felt, standing there admiring every little detail of my surroundings.
Music of all kinds of different genres played throughout the building as people stood around, sipping on '54 champagne and probably compared their net worth estimations, but I was too busy staring the entrance down to notice.
