My door opened and I braced for the emotional impact. Caroline is coming for me again."Tarren?" The voice called, "Tarren?" I gathered enough strength to look up at her.
"Posy, what a relief." Posy smiled her beautiful smile.
"Oh Tarren," she said as she hugged me,"I brought you some food." Posy handed me a small piece of bread and a glass of milk. I began to slowly nibble on the bread, getting used to the feeling of eating again. "I have a plan. I am going to get you out of here, but you have to do as I say. Promise to do as I say?"
"I promise." I said, finishing my milk and bread.
"Good, I need you to do something for me. Give up."
"What?? What good will that do?" I said, sitting up so suddenly I got dizzy.
"Trust me, you just need to be convincing enough to get them to release you. I have a plan. Just trust me." The look in her eyes made me sure.
"Ok. I trust you."
She gave me one more hug and left. I only got more confused. Why me? We've only talked a few times and yet she seems to actually care. Why? I am not worth her effort.
