I crawled, my hands becoming wet. I glanced down to find them stained red.
"Oh Violet." I sighed, worrying for her. I turned down the twisting path, working my way through the tunnel. I found another dead end and turned to it. I began to pull out the bricks, finding another hatch. I opened it to be met by another walk in closet. I could see light around the corners of the door. Whoever lives in this room, they're awake. I examined the dresses, searching for anything I could recognise. After about 5 minutes of looking, I gave up. I couldn't think of who these belonged to. I decided to go into the room instead. The crystal knob on the door twisted in my hand, unlatching silently. I heard sobbing from in the room. That sob was all too familiar. I pushed the door open as quietly as I could, managing to get it open without calling attention to myself. Posy sat against her vanity, her head in her hands. I tiptoed over to her, my feet silent against the plush rug. I set my hand on her shoulder. She looked up at me, shaking her head.
"Please make this nightmare end!" She cried. "I just want him back!" She shook as her sobs rang out into the room.
"What are you talking about Posy?" I asked, sitting down next to her.
"You're not real." She said, looking at the wall.
"Posy. Look at me! You aren't dreaming! I'm here!" I said, cupping her face in my hands. "Please. I promise I'm here." She looked at me, her blue eyes glistening with tears. Posy reached a hand out and touched my face. A small gasp escaped her mouth, followed by a few small laughs.
"Tarren!" She laughed as she leaned in for a hug. Tears of joy were pouring down both of our faces. Our embrace seemed to last an eternity. "I thought I had lost you." She cried, burying her face in my shoulder. I gently lifted her face with my hand.
"Posy, I love you." I confessed
"I love you too Tarren." She said, hugging me even tighter. She looked at me, her gorgeous eyes diving into mine. I grabbed her face once more, and kissed her.
