After dinner we all just kinda hung out.

Outside was terrible. There was thunder and lightning. It was pouring outside like you couldn't believe it. Dana, Landon's wifi, had went into the guest room to put Ash to sleep since they were leaving in the morning.

Landon comes over and shakes Lucas's hands.

"Hey, did you watch the football game yesterday?" They both start rambling about which team should've won and whose team sucked. Guys...haha.

My mom comes over to me.

"I thought you were going to have a baby?" She asks.

I look at her. "Really mom! I don't want one right now."

"When you're forty and can't have kids?"

"No...just not right now."

"Hmpf...fine. Is his parents okay with him being married so young?"

This is the same question she's been asking for months. Actually since the day Lucas and I got engaged.

"Yes."

"I was just wondering."

I sigh. "I know. I still love you though."

"Azenda!" Calls Lucas.

I turn towards his voice. "Yeah?"

"Are you ready yet?"

I look at my mom with a questioning glance.

She shrugs and Dana comes out of the room, heading over to the window, peeking out the curtain.

"I don't think its safe to drive in this weather." She says just as there was thunder and lightning. All of a sudden the power went out, leaving some of us sitting and some of us standing in a room full of darkness.

I hear someone sigh. "Better go check on Ash." Dana.

I hear footsteps until they fade away.

A lightning strike lights up the room and I can barely make out Dana's voice as she tries to coax Ash back to sleep.

"I think I have candles somewhere." Sounds like my mom because she's right next to me.

Another lightning bolt strikes, lighting up the room and I see Lucas heading over towards me.

"We should really get home, Azenda." He says, standing next to me.

I hesitate because I really don't want to drive in this weather. I tell Lucas that.

"I'll drive." He says.

"Okay, well mom-" I get cut off by my sister.

"Why can't you just stay here until the sky clears up? There are extra bedrooms and we have the couches."

Landon speaks up. "I agree with Tammy. You should stay here."

"I know, but we really need to get back." I tell them, grabbing my purse and handing the keys to Lucas.

When we open the front door we get it with pouring rain. We take a run towards the car and we get in with Lucas being the one who drives.

We shake off the rain like a pair of dogs and then start laughing at each other.

"This night went well I guess." Lucas said.

I shrug. "Yeah. The weather sucks though." I tell him while looking out the mirror. I can hardly see outside because of the pouring rain and the dark.

"You wanna camp out in the car and go home in the morning before anyone in the house wakes up?" Lucas asks.

I look at him with an are-you-kidding- look. "You told everyone you wanted to go home."

"Would you like to sleep in that house with all those people?"

He has a point. "I guess not. Although I'd rather sleep in an actual bed."

He turns the car onand automatically the heating system kicks on, warming us up.

He pulls out of the driveway and we are heading home.

I was just looking out the window when I feel Lucas grab my hand while driving with the other.

"Love you Azenda."

I smile. "Love you too Lucas."

I'm glad I had found somebody to trust and tell bad jokes to. Honestly, I don't really care that my family doesn't like him...because I do. He is the best thing that has ever happened to me.

A flash of lighting blinds us.

"Lucas!" I yell pointing to the car infront of us. I was to late though. Lucas tried to swerve the car away, but the road is wet and we end up spinning, flipping over. Glass shatters and I put my arms up to the roof when the car flips the second time. My head hits the window repeatedly.

I yell to Lucas, but he doesn't answer me. I can't hear him.

Hitting the window again, my life flashes before my eyes and the last thing I think of is Lucas.
