(Third Person POV)

"Endymion, what is this white stuff falling from the skies? Are they tiny stars?" asks Serenity.
She holds out her hand to catch the glittering flake that falls in front of her. She watches as it disappears slowly in her hands.

A light chuckle escapes from Endymion's mouth, and he looks down at his Princess.

"No, Princess. Guess again" replies Endymion, teasing her.

Endymion and Serenity walk hand in hand through the forest – their forest – where they hide from the eyes of the Earthen Royal Court. For if the denizens of the Moon and of the Earth are found in the act of their forbidden love, there would be dire consequences...

"Surely it can't be the petals from Sakura - it's already passed Spring, hasn't it. Hmmm..."
Serenity pondered in thought.

It's cold, it's white, it falls from the
skies and disappears when you touch it... In the name of the moon, what is this?

Endymion looks down at her, as he watched her brows bury in concentration and in thought.

Yes, Spring and the Summer have passed by - and all too quick... Endymion remembers the days where Serenity had slipped away from the Moon, and had sat down for hours with him, just watching the blossoms bloom and fall away. And so had the Autumn, where they had watched the leaves change colour and fall from the trees; hand in hand in the cold, but in the warm embrace of each other.

But yet, Serenity had yet to see a white Winter...

"Oh, Endy! I give up!"
An exasperated Serenity gives up and nudges Endymion in the arm and he gives another deep chuckle.
"Please, tell me!" She whines.

"Okay, Serenity, I'll tell." Endymion replies, ruffling her fringe in a teasing manner.
"It's snow"

"Snow?! In the name of the moon, really?!! I've only ever read about snow in books! Never did I think it would be this..."
An excited Serenity smiles widely at her environment - at the snow - all around her. She picks a handful off of the ground, and rubs it through her numb fingers.

"Cold?" Endymion finishes, watching his excited princess. It was honestly like watching a happy 3 year old!

Serenity looks up at the sky, and smiles softly while shaking her head, making snow rain down from her fringe.
"Beautiful" she breathes out.,

Endymion watches as Serenity's personality changes from happy to serene. The moon glowing on her face, and her flowing, white dress makes her look like like the Snow Princess Kaguya - the princess that he has only heard about in the fairy tales his mother used to tell him.

"You're beautiful" he says quietly.

He walks over to her and embraces her.
Her blushing face is unmistakeable in this cold. He tilts her head up, and looks down at her, her eyes sapphire eyes staring into his.
He leans in for a kiss, and feels Serenity doing the same, as well as her cold hand reaching up to cover his right cheek.

Their lips are just an inch away from his when... SPLAT!

A cold, but somehow burning sensation travels through his left cheek, and is shocked to see Serenity laughing...

In the middle of what could be the most romantic moment for them both - her first kiss in the snow - Serenity had slapped her dear Endymion in the face with a hand full of snow!

What in the world?! This girl... HA! She doesn't know what she's up against!

"I hope you know Serenity, that this means war!!" Endymion exclaims, running towards a nearby pile of snow, and rolling it into a ball.

He aims it at Serenity, but she laughs cheekily as she dodges through the trees, missing most of his attempts at all throws, only to give a slight yelp of surprise when the snow falls from the tree branches above them.
She throws some snowballs back in an act of defence.

Serenity gives up, and waits quietly behind the tree as she waits for the next throw. But she can not hear a thing.
A ceasefire maybe?

She turned her head ever so slightly to the left of the tree and then to the right and sees nothing. She holds in her giggles, trying to not give away her spot.

But her efforts were for nothing, when a warm pair of arms sweeps her off her feet and she lands in a warm chest. Her trapped giggles are released in one final fit of laughter. Her lover's laughter reverberates through his chest and she holds onto him tighter.

Endymion soon loses balance, and they fall into a pile of snow, and Serenity gives a small scream as they fall.

Now, how did we end up in this position?

It seems their thoughts are echoed in their faces...

There they were.
A princess on her back. A prince on top, shrouding her with his figure and cape. Both sharing cold, quickened breaths together underneath the moonlight...
They both look into each other's eyes, and there and then without any hesitation...
They kiss...

Deep. Desperate. Cold but warm... Going on and on and on...

They break apart, and quick, warm breaths are taken by the both of them. Serenity runs her hand through Endymion's hair, shaking out the snowflakes that were caught in his raven-black hair. They fall onto her face, and Endymion gives a soft smile, and lightly puts his cold fingers on her face to brush them off.

Suddenly, a newly-found glow attracts the attention of Serenity, and she looks up and gives out a gasp of awe.

Endymion looks up, following his Princess's eyes, and sees the wonder up above them.

All the trees have lit up in a soft light, making the trees look like a canopy of caught stars.
Both in awe, Endymion rolls onto his back, and pulls Serenity gently into his chest.
They look up at this new wonder, not speaking - just letting the moment speak for itself. Both with smiles on their faces.

"It's incredible" Serenity says quietly, breaking the silence.

The falling snowflakes glitter on the way down as they catch the lights, and makes them look like shooting stars.

"You're incredible" Endymion says, tilting her head up, making her look into his eyes.

"I love you... To the Moon and back" Serenity says in reply.

In response, Endymion leans forward and their lips are once again locked. Their mouths filled with nothing but each other, but in a kiss as soft as the snow beneath them...

Although, Serenity swore she could hear the sound a chorus of quiet giggles, and a 'shhhhhh!' off in the distance of the tree branches...
But chose to ignore it...

Nothing could ruin this moment...
