"To live is the rarest thing in the world, most people just exist, that is all."
-Oscar Wilde

I always taught them to live in the moment, enjoying as much as they could before they couldn't anymore.

I taught them to learn from my mistakes, put their lessons into use and achieve greatness.

They listened to my teachings and abided by my words...or so I thought.

Until the one day I knew I was done fighting and I would be gone;
I looked her in the eye and I didnt see a fighter, instead I saw a person destroyed by the pain of loss and death.
Then I looked at him and I didn't see a brave young man, instead I saw a person broken with hate and anger for himself.

And with a heavy heart I let them be, seeing as there was nothing more I could do, I left them to the hands of this beautiful but scary world.

Just like that their one anchor was gone.
