"Don't make me go! Amber, this is really close to Drew's old house. What if he's there!" I said, as my best friend Amber pulled me out of my car. "You're going, and you're going to like it! Drew isn't gonna be there! He's on tour remember!" she said. I sighed and stopped her. "Does my hair look okay?" I asked. She laughed. "There she is! My sexy party girl best friend." she said. I laughed. We walked into the house, and we were greeted by all our friends. We hugged them all and got into conversation. I always pray Drew and I never come up in a conversation.
I got bored with the bland conversation about what the waves were like last night, so I went to the kitchen and poured me some Vodka and Redbull. I took a sip and turned around and ran into someone. "Unf...Sorry. Didn't see yo- Drew?" I said. I looked at the guy more clearly, and sure enough it was Drew. Son of a bitch. "Kendal? Hey." he said hugging me. And que the awkward moment with your ex...NOW! I reluctantly hugged him back. I quickly let go.
"It's been a while. How are you babe?" he asked. Don't call me babe! That makes this more painful. "Yeah, two years...I'm good. How are you and your girl?" I asked, then took a long swig on my drink. "We're good. She's in England right now...It's fashion week in London and she went..." he said. I nodded. "That's cool, I guess? Listen...I'm gonna go interact...bye Drew Be- Drew." I said. He smiled.
"You still sippin' on that Vodka and Redbull like back in high school?" he asked. I nodded and held my cup up. He smiled then kissed me. I pulled back. "NO. No. No. No. No." I said. "What?" he asked. "You're drunk Drew...leave me alone, and don't ever kiss me again." I said, then walking off.
