Happy Birthday, Levi~

Levi woke up at 5am in his chair. He had insomnia and couldn't sleep well so he just took 3 hour naps in his chair, usually. He stretched out for a while before taking his 3 minutes combat style shower, having the intention to clean his room afterwards.

Stepping out of the steamy shower with a towel hung low on his hips, Levi walked to his closet and took out his crisp uniform. He let the towel drop to his ankles before putting on his undergarment and pants before starting to clean. Normally he did his cleaning - shirtless. He wiped the bookshelf, scrubbed the floor twice just to be sure and sorted out the papers on his desk. As he sorted, he saw a note on top of the recent paperwork due in a few day's time. Picking up the note, he looked at the illegible handwriting of his best friend, Hanji Zoë. He scowls to himself as he tries to read her scrawl of a handwriting.

Yo, Levi~
I popped into your room just now while you were taking a shower. Just saying, today everyone is having a day off from their duties, so you don't have to train the cadets. That also means no ordering of anyone to clean anything. Cut them all some slack, will you?

A small smirk made its way to his face reading the last statement by her. He finished the last of his stacks of paperwork and puts on his shirt, jacket, straps and of course, his cravat. He looks out at the window to see the sun rising above the horizon. 'Perfect. Time for breakfast.'

As Levi made his way to the mass hall, he heard loud chattering from inside it. It was unusually loud today. As he stepped in, the chatter died down and everyone was whispering. Levi may have looked like he didn't care outside but on the inside, he was suspicious. 'Firstly, it's a day off for everyone. Secondly, everyone seems to be keeping something from me.'
He saved his thoughts for later as he saw Hanji waving enthusiastically at the table where they, Erwin and Mike usually sit. He invited himself over to them, taking a sit beside Erwin.

"Ahh, Levi, did you receive my note?"

"Tch, you write like a toddler learning how to write. Shitty Glasses."

The four of them started to engross themselves with recent matters about the Titan Boy, Jaeger. Levi mostly kept to himself, contributing only when needed to. Halfway through, Hanji suddenly excused herself, saying that she had 'matters to attend to.' She brought a group of cadets with her along with Jaeger and his friends. Soon, even Mike and Erwin left, leaving Levi alone in the mass hall. He scanned the place, finding it not up to par with his standards.

"Tch. Those brats are lucky today they're off duties."

And with that, he wraps a mask on his face and begun cleaning.

Timeskip, 2 hours later

"Shorty~ Shoooooortyyyyyy~"

The unmistakable sound of Hanji's irritating voice made Levi rise up from his seat. He was peacefully sipping his tea until Hanji disturbed his tranquility. Clicking his tongue in annoyance, he looked at the door of the mass hall to see the scientist by the name of Hanji Zoë standing there with a goofy smile on her lips.

"What the hell do you want, Four - eyes."

"Ahh... there you are~ I need your help to go for a short trip outside the walls... heh heh..."

Levi's eye narrowed at that statement. Doesn't she have a whole squad to follow her? He continued staring at her until she suddenly smiled that smile that he loved. He was sure his heart melted at the sight of it. Only that she wasn't able to see it.

"So?"

"Tch, fine Shitty Glasses."

He may have sound rude, but deep down inside, he was feeling a bit joyful getting to ride a horse alongside her. The two of them alone.
