I woke up on what must have been the most uncomfortable chair ever. I mean, come on! The cold, hard, bare floor would probably have been a better option.

"I see your awake" deaton stated, without even looking at me. I honestly had no Idea how he does it.
Then again, deaton had always reminded me of Buddha. When I told stiles this, he had laughed in my face, literally, then proceeded to tell me it was thee most ridiculous thing he had ever heard. Seriously, he said that to me! That boy seriously needs to hear what he says sometimes, then he would understand the meaning of ridiculous!

"How's he doing?" I couldn't help but ask, the unbearable silence now getting to me.

"His heart rate is alarmingly high." He told me. I could see the worry in his eyes. I got up from the dreadful chair and walked towards the table.

"He's a lot warmer now." I couldn't help but comment, as I touched his arm. I honestly wasn't sure if that was a good thing.

"Sapphire, I'm going to try something. I want you to keep holding his hand if that's okay." I nodded my head, not sure what he was going to do. He got a small knife and made a cut in Derek's arm, the quite deep cut healing before he even removed the knife. My eyes widened in shock.

"That looks like it healed really fast" I stated the obvious, the shock getting to me.

"Unusually fast." He agreed with me, the panic clear on his face, causing my worry to only grow.

"What does it mean?" I asked.
Deaton sighs, before answering "I'm not sure." Causing me to sigh.

"Let's try something else. Grab me a five milliliter syringe,
Top drawer." Deaton ordered me, which I quickly began doing.
As deaton was facing away from me, I began to notice Derek moving.

"Derek" i asked (more like whimpered). He quickly sprung up, eyes a cold blue, almost like sapphire, his claws out and ready to attack.

"Derek, are you all right? Derek , Derek are you all right? Derek?" Deaton now began to help, although he was much calmer than me. Before either of us had time to react, Derek had scratched deaton's arm, before running out the door.

"Wait" I called out after him, before running out as well. I didn't have time to help deaton, all I could think about was protecting a young and vulnerable Derek.

"Derek, Derek" I kept calling for him as I ran. "Derek? Derek? Sapphire?" I faintly heard deaton calling after us, but I just couldn't stop.
As I saw Derek run into the woods, I instantly knew where he was going, and my pace quickened. I knew exactly what he was going to find there, and I didn't want him going through it alone.
Because I knew what it was like to feel completely alone, to feel like you have no one, to feel like you've lost everything. And in this moment, I promise myself that I will do whatever it takes to make sure he never feels like that.
Because he deserves to be saved.

Derek's POV
I ran through the woods, shoving all the branches out of my way, desperate to get home. Thought's ran through my head, causing me to go even faster. I could hear the girl chasing after me, but I didn't care. She wasn't a threat to me, I could tell, in fact I think she wanted to help me. With what I have no idea.
As I stopped right in front of the clearing, I saw there was a fence around it (wire mesh). I quickly moved it before running towards my house. Or at least what used to be my house. All that was left was a pile of wood. As I began to panic, I heard a voice.

"Derek?" It was the girl again, her voice was gentle...
...and for a second, all thoughts of my house and family were swept away, as i looked at the girl, now hunched over, her breathing laboured. Only for a second though 'she's not that special' i internally argued with myself. 'If that's true, then why are you still thinking about her' the voice argued back, and honestly... i couldn't reply, because i knew he (definitely a he) was right.
