The First Vampire

Chapter 2

I woke and remember I had met a man who's name was Major Jasper Whitlock this must be his home.

I walk out of the room but not before making the bed and washing my face. I didn't have to wander far because I saw him there reading a book.

I smile quietly, not wanting to bother this peaceful silence, walk to his chair and sit on the floor beside him.

He closes his book and watches me a bit before he speaks, "Will you tell me your story now?"

I look at him and speak,"I was born the year 900 b.c" I can tell this shocked him greatly.

" it was a simple life.  I adored it but it was also hard the harsh winters the heat nothing like today what is this year?" "The year 2010 the twenty first century" he says.(this is the year the film was made but the book was published in 2007 so please bare with me :))

I smile, "such a long time has passed" I smile and continue my story, "I was the the only daughter to my father Damian and his wife my mother. I had an older brother Day and three younger brothers what you call triplets? Their name in the order they were birthed was Alexander, James, and Ryan. I adored them very much so." I giggle remembering their shenanigans.

"I was walking at a very late hour dawn was approaching very soon only 2 or 3 hours away. I saw a beautiful tree and ate a fruit from it at the time my family just moved there and we didn't know of that tree's fruit was forbidden. I was cursed to walk the Earth never ageing but a craving for the lifes blood of people...my eyes are always black and sleep as you see others cannot..."

I stare at my feet "I gave the name vampire to my kind after I bit a victim who turned as I did. I didn't wish to acknowledge him and in turn I didn't teach him so he fled and made more who in turn made more and now this world has vampires because of my foolish mistake."

I refused to look at him ashamed I had doomed this kind man to a world of misery and loneliness.

"So your the reason," I flinch "your the reason we are like this. An innocent mistake that caused so much misery" I cry as he continues "yet I cannot blame you" he speaks softly as he hold me close.

"An angel you are an angel" I cried as i held onto him. He shushed me and rocked us side to side.

-a few weeks pass-

My Major Jasper Whitlock has to leave today to go back to his family he insist I go with him but I refuse and say I wish to stay at the cottage.

"I will visit you soon darlin'" he says as he kisses my forehead. He was sweet to me and treated me like a queen and I him a king. We loved one another but never to the extent of a man and wife. I wanted marriage before that. I smile kiss his cheek and wish him a safe journey and read a few books before bathing and sleeping. 

One of the few gifts given to me for being the first vampire.
