Chapter Four

 

12 o’clock came and Fukari waited nervously for Kaneko and his brother’s arrival. He was unsure if Akira was really going to agree to give them the flat, but Akira said that if he liked them, he would no matter what.

Only because you made me model for you, Fukari thought bitterly, putting the finishing touches on the food he’d been preparing for Kaneko and his brother. He sighed. Well at least I don’t have to do anything else.

Fukari jumped at the sound of the doorbell. He got to his feet and headed towards the door. He opened it, and then headed to the other door, pressing the release button on the way.

Fukari smiled brightly at the two stood in front of him. There was Kaneko, and a smaller version of him clinging to his coat.

The young boy had jet black hair just like his brother, but bright green eyes unlike the soft green of his older brother’s. The boy seamed rather small but Fukari though that it wasn’t because the boy was really young, it was just because the boy was shorter than most. The boy looked to be about nine but his height would say he was about six or seven.

He’s so cute, Fukari thought, seeing the little brother. He looked to Kaneko.

“Sempai,” Fukari said, bowing a little. “Come on in; I have a surprise for the both of you.”

“Nii-chan, nii-chan…” the small boy that clung to Kaneko’s coat said, tugging on the long coat. “Need a pee,” he said quietly as Kaneko looked down at him.

“Take him to the one in my bedroom, if you like,” Fukari said, smiling softly.

Kaneko nodded. “Thanks,” he muttered, taking the small boy’s hand and headed toward the stairs.

As the two boys came back downstairs, Fukari smiled at them.
