Lillian's POV
I slowly peeled my eyes open, letting them adjust to the somewhat bright lighting, and inhaled deeply before exhaling and reaching over and grabbing my phone.
As I looked at myself in the black screen I cringed a little as my bed head was worse than usual before pressing the power button and checking the time. I groaned as it was already 3 in the afternoon.
I set my phone back down and rolled to my side before swinging my legs over the edge of my bed and standing up, giving myself a second to adjust to my sudden movement, and stretching my tired limbs.
I trudged into the hallway and down the stairs, not bothering to put pants on as It's Saturday and I'm the only one home. I grabbed the note hanging off of the fridge as I walked past it and held it in from of my face as I opened the pantry. 'I'll be home at 9 don't forget to do your chores' was written in cursive.
I toss it in the trash can before grabbing a random box of cereal and a bowl. I set the bowl on the counter and pour some cereal in before turning to the fridge and grabbing the milk and pouring enough into the bowl so I can push all of it under and get it wet.
I put the milk back and plop down on a stool and ate in silence. I don't mind being alone all of the time, it's actually quite nice.
When I finish eating I rinse my bowl and put it in the dish washer before grabbing the broom and sweeping the floor. I hate sweeping but the last time I didn't do my chores I got an hour lecture about having a good work ethic so I do my best to keep on top of it.
I hummed along to 'Car Radio' as it played in my head. I'v had this song stuck in my head for the past few days and I don't know why, I hardly ever listen to Twenty One Pilots. I shrugged to myself before dumping the dust pan into the trash can and putting the broom back in the closet.
I spent the rest of my morning cleaning the bathroom and living room. I exhaled loudly while dropping face down on the couch and laid there for a few seconds before turning my head to the side so I could breathe.
I grabbed the remote off of the black coffee table about afoot away from me before pointing it at the receiver and turning every thing on before scrolling over to the HDMI 2 channel and dropping the remote by my side. I stretched my arm out and made a grunting noise as i reached for my play station controller that was on the far side of the table.
After about two minuets of this, I pushed myself up and leaned over, easily grabbing it before laying back down and scrolling through the apps before selecting the YouTube one and waiting for it to load. When it finally loaded, I opened the search and typed in Twenty One Pilots and clicked on Car Radio.
We don't really have any neighbors, I mean we do but they don't live anywhere near us, so I turned it all the way up and let the sound flood the room from the speakers on every wall. I quietly sang along as I watched the music video.
When the song ended I just let it keep playing the next song as I got up and climbed the stairs and went into my room, unplugging my phone and going back down to the living room.
I scrolled through my notifications, swiping them to the side to delete the ones that aren't important before opening the Kik app. I deleted the messages from this one girl, Alyssa, who wouldn't stop texting me about stupid stuff. I had talked to her once before in 7th grade and she hasn't left me alne since. I'm not trying to be mean or anything but she has gotten a little bit too weird for my liking. When we first started talking it wasn't that bad but after about a week she kept asking a lot of sexual questions that I didn't want ti answer and I asked her to stop but she never did.
I clicked on the group what that I had going with two of my guy friends, they were both named James so we called the older one by his preferred name, Jim, and the younger one by his middle name, Seth. I scrolled though, reading the random shit they had said and occasionally laughing at their stupid jokes.
I jumped a little when I heard a knocking sound at the window that was behind the couch. I turned and pulled one of the blind things down slightly to see my boyfriend, Evan, leaning down and smiling at me through the crack.
I don't see color with Evan and he doesn't with me but we enjoy each others company so we stay together. My parents don't know about Evan and wouldn't approve as he was almost three years older than me but I don't care. 'Rebellious right' I thought sarcastically as I got up and made my ways to the back door, opening it and letting Evan in.
"Whats up short stuff?" he asked, jumping over the back of the couch and laying on his stomach."Dealing with your bitch ass" said as I rolled my eyes at the nickname he gave me when Seth first introduced us and sat on top of him as he was in my spot.
He sat up, pushing me onto the floor and stuck his tongue out at me and pushing me over. I lied on my back on the floor and watched as he reached over and grabbed the remote and turning the music off before switching to cable and flicking through the channels. "Take a picture it'll last longer." He said without looking up, noticing my staring.
I made a disgruntled complaining noise and reaching up to slap his leg. He mimicked my noise and made a face before settling on some random football game. "What time will your parents be home?" He asked, his eyes flicking to me briefly then back to the T.V. "9 tonight" I responded, thinking about the note that mom left for me.
He nodded and continued watching the T.V. I pulled on his leg. "Pay attention to me" I whined playfully, dragging out the 'e'. He rolled his eyes, smiling, before reaching down and pulling me onto the couch with him and hugging me into him.
We lied there in a peaceful silence for about 45 minutes before I heard the familiar click of the front door closing and jumped up, panicking and pulling Evan off of the couch. "Lil I'm home!" I heard moms voice echo through the house.
Oh shit.
