Scene, after scene, after scene. Nothing. I sighed, and lied down on my bed. What is it I'm missing? I asked myself. "Maybe there isn't a meaning," I say under my breath, as I fall to sleep.

The bright light took me to a place. A beautiful place. At first, it was just forest. But now I'm at the edge of it. Looking upon a meadow of what seemed to be a million flowers.
"Come with me," the light said.
I was in awe when it spoke, but I followed it anyway. It's voice was a bit high pitched. As we went through the field, I spotted a boy. "Hey!" he shouted out to me. "Come over here." he demanded. I looked at the light, and it gestured to the boy. So, I shrugged and trekked towards him. There was a picnic, with apples, watermelons, lemons — my favorite fruit — , and what looked to be Kiwi fruit — also one of my favorites. He sat down, and invited me to sit as well.
Of course, I did. "What's your name?" he asked me. "Velvet," I said. "But you can call me Val, or Vel. What's yours?"
He told me his name, and we spoke of some things, while we ate. I ate two sour Kiwis — the best kind — and a lemon. He told me horrible jokes, but I laughed anyway. After about an hour, he lifts himself off the ground and speaks. "Follow me," he said. "I have something to show you." he lead me down a gravel path into another part of the forest. We walks through it for about twenty minutes. Without a single word. Soon we come upon a lamp post. He puts his hand on it, as where we were it snowed, and the lamp was covered in ice. "Here," he took my wrist lightly. "Touch it." but before I did anything of the sort I noticed a scarf around my neck, and tumblr winter clothes. I just smiled, and placed my frozen hand onto he warm ice.
Warm ice? I thought. How could there be such a thing? then, I find myself alone. Inside of my room. I rush downstairs, to find no one. I go outside into the cold, and shout for my little brother, knowing my parents are probably gone somewhere. "Cody," I say. "Cody?" I walk two houses down from mine to find a small, one story building. I went up the oak porch steps, and went to the door. I knocked in the clear glass, waiting for an answer. When someone opened up, I immediately asked; "Is Cody here?"
The woman smiled at me, gesturing her hand for me to walk in. I did. I look around for Cody, but he's no where to be seen. "Ma'am," I say as kindly as possible. "Is Cody around? Do you know him? My little brother." she doesn't say a word. She leads me down a hallway and opens a wooden, polished door. Light comes from it. Bright light. Was Cody in here? Should I walk in? But, without even making an official choice, I do. I find myself dressed in white pastel, pearls, and a handkerchief in my hand. And very high heels, I immediately take them off when I hear the song people would usually use in a wedding. I can't quiet figure it's name, but I know what it is. I turn around to see a blonde girl, with outstanding makeup, a glimmering white puffy dress, and a man leading her down a red soft carpet. She looks so familiar, and then it hits me. Cassie Noman. I was at Cassie Noman's wedding. But if she was the bride, who's the groom? I look to the front of the church. I expected anyone, since she the most popular and beautiful girl in school, but no. I find someone who I thought would never even think about marrying her. Connor Harrp. I felt my eyes tear up. I couldn't believe this, and, I couldn't believe I didn't recognize him earlier. With that boy, who invited me to the picnic. It was Connor Harrp. My crush was marrying my half-enemy. I felt my breath go nuts, and my eyes swell. I took the handkerchief and wiped my smearing mascara, and ran out. Everyone starring at me, though I have now just noticed them. When I'm out the doors, a bell rings, and I'm back to reality.
I nearly scream awake, eyes filled with fear and tears. I look at the time. 3:20AM. My mouth was dry, and I could barely keep my eyes closed. So, I tip-toe my way downstairs.
