I would up in a puddle of my own drool and on the opposite side of the bed. I looked at my phone, it was 12:00 and I had 7 missed calls from Jesse. I called him back to see what was up.
"Hey Jade?"
"Hi Jesse, I see you called me 7 times, what do you need?"
"Oh, I just wanted to know if you wanted to go to breakfast, but then I got worried when you didn't answer, so I thought you were hurt."
"Aw that's sweet, but yea, its 12:00, sorry."
"Oh its fine, do you want to go out to lunch with me?"
"Um, Sure, lemme get dressed and I'll sneak out of my window, my dad wouldn't let me go out 2 days in a row."
"Alright cool, see ya!"
He hung up the phone. I ran to me drawer and grabbed a Melanie Martinez T-shirt, black skinny jeans, a flannel, a beanie, and combat boots. I put so eyeliner on, grabbed my phone and purse, locked my door, and climbed through the window. Jesse was waiting for me outside. I got in his car and we drove.
We pulled up to this little Café, it was super cute. We decided to sit outside because it was beautiful out. Our waiter came and took our drink orders until a man, who looked like a manager or an owner came and said "Hey what are you doing here?"
I was beyond confused until Jesse said "Hey dad" and "Hugged him". "Is this one of your new friends?" He asked. "Yeah, this is Jade." Jesse responded. "Hi Mr Ledger." I said shaking his hand. "Oh C'mon call me Rick!" he said hugging me. After he left I said "Your family likes to hug,". He just laughed and nodded with agreement. "So your family owns this place?" I asked taking a sip of my coffee. "Yeah, that's why we moved here, he got an opportunity, He's been wanting to own a restaurant for a long time." Jesse said.
"Hey, I have an idea, since there's breakfast all day, let's try to eat as many pancakes as we can." I said laughing. "Challenge accepted." Jesse said. We ended up getting the All You Can Eat pancake deal.
We both ended up eating about 20 pancakes each and we couldn't even move. We both sat there like potatoes trying to get up. "It was not a good Idea to wear skinny jeans" I said. Jesse went into a fit of uncontrollable laughter which made me laugh too, so we both were laughing uncontrollably. "So I see you guys are having fun." I heard Jesse's dad say. "So.... Many.... Pancakes." Jesse just replied. "Good job, you guys polished it off, here's the check, take your time." Jesse's dad said. Jesse paid the bill and we left, even though we had both eaten about 20 pancakes. We drove back home, I snuck back in my window, and went back to sleep, I sleep a lot.
