Chapter 20

It's been around 6 hours since we left school to search around the warehouse and so far we've come across nothing! We were all currently exploring the front entrance of the mental home, making sure to look for any trap doors or such which could be hidden beneath the old vines and long grass.

Literally there is nothing suspicious about this mental home, although after looking around the place I do however begin to notice some familiar looking places.

"Hey! Arianna!" I call out after seeing her looking around suspiciously; I jump over a dead tree root, only to trip and land on my face. Im a fuckin' agent, I can tackle a sumo wrestler but can't even manage to walk without tripping up...

I push myself up with my hands however feel something beneath the palm of my hands. Standing up I brush of my jeans and hear footsteps. Looking up I see Arianna with an amused face, "You alright there?" She laughs referring to my trip and fall. I roll my eyes jokingly and laugh it off nodding.

"Here help me with this, there's something under here." I kneel down, grabbing my knife from my back pocket and begin to cut away at the vines. Arianna pulls the extra loose branches. "Hey, Alyssa, don't you find this place somewhat familiar? I don't know maybe it's just me but I feel like I've seen this place before." She used my fake name just in case the place is bugged.

I look at her and nod in agreement. "I was thinking the exact same thing earlier."

"Soooo, what's going on between you and my brother?" I smile at her knowing they have chemistry. She blushes and continues clearing away old tree roots. "Noth-nothing." She says clearing her throat. LIES!

"I've seen the way you look at each other, I'd be totally fine if you guys started dating ya know." I hint. She blushes harder clearly uncomfortable with the situation. "Okay, okay I'll stop, just answer one question for me." She nods and I continue, "Have you kissed?" I laugh as soon as the question leaves my mouth, god I'm creepy.

I wasn't expecting her to answer but to my surprise she mumbles a yes. "Awhhh!" I squeal happy that Caleb is happy. He deserves it.

"Alright enough!" Arianna giggles shoving my shoulder playfully.

After clearing away the vines a large door in the soiled ground is revealed. I make a fist and knock on it. Yep, hollow.

Lifting my head I wave my hand and call out to the other agents, "Hey guys over here!"

Soon enough were all gathered around the newly discovered door. Two long handles protrude on either side of the metal square. Taking a hold of one handle I gesture for someone to help me with the other one. Alex walks over and takes a tight grip. "On the count of three?" He nods and plants his feet into the ground in a steady position.

"One, two, th-,"

"Hey, guys wait! Stop, I just pulled this new software I got and it detects unusual frequencies. This one right here", Dylan interjects showing us his tablet he points to a wavelength on the screen.

"Long story short, that tells us there's a whole load of C4 buried under that hatch and if you open it, we'll blow up." Maddison finishes off. She and Dylan glance at each other and I see her blush and look away quickly whilst Dylan smiles to himself. TIME TO PLAY MATCH MAKER!

Alex and I immediately step away from the door making sure not to put any pressure on it. "Wait so their plan was to just kill us all?" Adrian questions.

I look up my eyes widening. It all made sense. Me tripping over the tree root, me finding the hatch.

"No" I whisper loudly catching everyone's attention. "They wanted to kill me."

"But wait, the letter that Christian wrote said that he was going to stop his brother from killing you. Why didn't he?" Alex mentions. He's right.

"I'm not sure. But whatever happens, we can't trust him. For all we know he and his brother could be working together. We need a plan and we need one now."  Carter strongly recommend his eyes meeting mine.

I'm currently sitting on an old brick wall rocking my feet back and forth staring at the cracked cement between the bricks. Charlie paces up and down in front of me grabbing his head in his hand and clenching his fingers around his hair.

He's been doing this for about 20 minutes, ever since we found out that Christian is trying to blow me to bits...

Sighing I push myself of the wall and walk over to him, placing my hands on his shoulders I stop him and look him in the eyes.

"Charlie stop pacing, your stressing both you and I out." I say resting my head on his chest.

He wraps his muscular arms around my waist and places his chin on my head. "I'm sorry baby, I just don't want to lose you. I mean Christian already has Aaron and Mia and he can't take you away from me, I won't let him." He finished kissing the top of my head.

I smile up at him and chuckle. "You're not getting rid of me that easily don't worry. We'll save Aaron and Mia. Carter and the others have enough time to form a plan so if we stick to that hopefully this mission can just end already."

He returns a smile and kisses my lips. "I love you Olivia."

"I love you too Charlie."

"Hey when this mission finishes, I'm booking us a holiday. Just the two of us away for awhile. No missions, no guns, no bad guys." He tells me softly taking my hands in his.

"What do you mean no bad guys? There will always be one around." I smirk.

"Hmm right, and who's that?"

"You, you my bad guy baby." I tease, going on my tip toes and brushing my lips agains his, before he has the chance to do anything I run off laughing heading towards the other agents who have a plan laid out.
