Chapter 1

Venus POV
Today was a total blow off I got bullied again by Brittany and her slut friends and now I gotta find a children's book to show my manager so he can read it and promote me because my family is poor and my dad lost his job yesterday so u have to do all the work like seriously all he does is sit at his damn computer looking at family pictures with mom in it.

Dad I'm home!! I yelled.....no reply as always so now I have to find a children's book for tomorrow. I get my wallet and jump on my bike and ride off to the library.

I was looking through the children's book section and something caught my eye. It was a red book so I pulled it off of the shelf and it read "Mister Babadook" so I bought it because I like horror/ children books.

I got home and put it on my desk and read it out load. " if it's in a word or if it's in a look you can't get rid of the Babadook" I turned the page " if your a clever one and you see what it sees you will make friends with the special one a friend of you and me" I laughed " his name is mister Babadook and this is his book" I turned the page " a rumbling sound and 3 sharp knocks ba-ba-ba DOOK DOOK DOOK that's when you will know he's around you'll see him if you look" i turned the page again " This is what he wears on top he's funny don't you think" I thought he was creepy" see him in your room at night you won't sleep a wink" I look at the girl in the bed and it kind of looks like me I got a little crept out and still read "I'll soon take off my funny disguise (take in of what you read) " I saw a creepy pop up " and once you see what's underneath " I got scared " your gonna wish you were DEAD" I closed the book and ran downstairs to my dads room.

DAD!! I screamed and he looked at my like I was fucking crazy.

What do you want!! He yelled and gave him the book. He read it and look angry.

So you wake me up TO A STUPID BOOK!! He screamed at me and I took the book out of his hands and ran to the bedroom and cried then I slept with the book.

3rd person

The Babadook stood in the corner of the room watching Venus sleep and he went closer to her and touched her hair he felt this feeling like in his heart then he went back into the darkness.
