A not so Merry Christmas

I'm now lying in bed. I really don't feel good right now. My temperature is getting higher. I'm alone here in room, Anton and the kids are busy preparing for Christmas Eve later, I think I'll join them later when I get better. I was busy checking my twitter and read some tweets from the fans and friends, when his name appeared in my phone.

Richard calling...

Nagdadalawang-isip pa ako kung sasagutin ko ba or I'll just stare until it stops ringing but I decided to choose the first one, to answer his call.

"Hello?"

"Dawn, Merry Christmas! 25 na dito."

"Yeah, I know. Merry Christmas din." mahina ang pag sagot ko sa kanya baka kasi may makarinig.

"I miss you."

I closed my eyes. What will I answer? That I miss him too? Why Dawn, di mo ba siya namimiss? The other side of my head said.

"Ahm, I read your tweet, you're sick."

"Ah oo. Konting lagnat lang."

"Get well. You know that I care for you."

"Ahh, sige Chard. Tutulungan ko payung mga bata at si Anton mag prepare for Noche Buena later."

I heard him sighed.

"How I wish that's me. And our kids. Pero hindi na. I have now mine and you have also your own. It's different now. I forgot. Sige, I just called to say Merry Christmas. Just send my regards to Anton and to the kids. Goodbye...
