Paige's Perspective

But I had no idea how wrong I was.

Dad's Perspective

Why exactly did some dude take my kids? Isn't there other kids who need to be disciplined?
"Where did he take Leo?" I wondered out loud.
"Let's call the cops," Paige mumbled.
"Don't you think the cops have already been trying to catch whoever it is?"
"Shit," Paige said although she wasn't allowed to swear, but how else is she supposed to say it? Some man just took her eleven-year-old brother for Christ sake!
"We've got to figure something out ourselves. There's no choice," I sounded depressed-I am depressed. I couldn't be punished any more than this. At least Paige can handle herself and is okay for a while, but Leo-Leo's too young for this crap. A son-or really any child-is not able to defend himself, he wasn't in martial arts or karate, but still. I know I'm not overreacting, I'm just protective over my kids and there's nothing wrong with that. Is like to run out that door, and just fricken kick his sorry ass.
"Stay here," I told my only child in the house. "When I get out that door, lock every window and door in the house-my keys are in my pocket." I couldn't believe this was happening. I don't know exactly how, but I have to save my son.
