Takashi is a high school student of average height with brown eyes, spiky black hair which can occasionally have a purple hue, he is slender yet reasonably powerful build that contributes to his agility. Takashi's attire typically consists of his black school uniform with a red T-shirt underneath. He wears various T-shirts and jeans for short periods of time, but his school uniform remains his primary wardrobe.
He is 17 years old, 172cm tall, and in the time before the Outbreak, Takashi is laid-back and does not mind skipping class. His casual nature can also make him hesitant, evidenced by the fact that he did not act on his feelings for Rei until it was too late. His passionate feelings are displayed when he is genuinely depressed by Rei choosing Hisashi over him. Takashi becomes more serious after the Outbreak and begins to exhibit qualities of a leader.
But, shortly later on when he sees Kuro again he is running with her and her brother, Raiden, to the observatory rooftop as being chased by the undead. After, having to kill his best friend in front of his sister that's when he knew this is getting serious and they need to get out of the building in general. Even though he doesn't realize that the girls would start to fall for him, he starts thinking of Kuro as more than a friend just because of her brother's, his best friend's death.
"I swore to my best friend I'll protect his sister and with that I would protect her even if it causes me to lose everything in my life. If it comes down to it I rather her killing me then anyone esle"
