I was at school, another boring class and none is paying attention as usual...I sigh...Every day that passes everything is still the same...
I walk home passing exactly the same empty street and opened my house's door
"I'm home!" I called as my younger brother and my mother approached the door
"You're finally back (y/n)-Chan! Where have you been?" Light, my brother asks, I roll my eyes tired of the same question everyday
"I'm not a student so I was working at my magic cupcakes factory" I said sarcastically
"Do you want anything to eat?" My mum asked as walked upstairs towards my room
"Not really" I said and locked the door behind me, I threw my school bag to a corner and dropped myself on my (f/c) sheets staring blankly at the ceiling...
'This world is lost...' I thought to myself...

Another usual day at the Shinigami Realm, everything is quite normal, how boring!
"Hey Ryuk!" Daril and Deridovely called
"Come have fun with us!" Deridovely said, I already knew what they meant with 'have fun', they meant use the Death Note to kill a Human and lengthen their life span.
"I'll pass" I said staring at the empty Shinigami Realm, I have a idea that might be fun, I haven't done this is a while, I couldn't remember how interesting Humans could be...

I picked up my Death Note
'Time to drop it again' I thought to myself

This day passed incredibly fast unlike the rest. It was my last period and I randomly looked outside, my eyes widened and I stopped me from slapping myself, did I just see a notebook appearing from nowhere and falling on the school grounds?!
"Miss (y/n) (y/l/n) pay attention" My teacher said
"Yeah" I replied looking back at him.

I couldn't stop thinking about that notebook earlier, there was something written on the cover...was it...Death, something...I had to investigate about that.
Once my last period ended I casually walked to the school gardens and picked up the note book. On the cover was written:
DEATH NOTE
I frowned and opened it to read the first page, it read:

How To Use: I

The human whose name is written in this note shall die.
This note will not take effect unless the writer has the person's face in their mind when writing his/her name. Therefore, people sharing the same name will not be affected.
If the cause of death is written within the next 40 seconds of writing the person's name, it will happen.
If the cause of death is not specified, the person will simply die of a heart attack.
After writing the cause of death, details of the death should be written in the next 6 minutes and 40 seconds.

I silently laughed as I read that
"How stupid, who on their right mind would believe this?" I thought out loud but I couldn't stop starring at it though. I had to take it.

I put the notebook on my school bag and silently walk home.
I open the door and my mum welcomes me with a warm smile and keeps starring at me
"What? Oh, the exams' results right?" I asked as she nodded, I opened my school bag to take them out and then I remembered about the weird notebook I picked up.
I tried to ignore the strange felling about it and just gave the exams' results to my mother
"Number 1 again!" She said cheerfully "You must study a lot my dear, (y/n)! I'm so proud of you!" She said
"Guess I do study a lot..." I said walking upstairs, I had to take another look to that so called 'Death Note'.

I sat on my swivel chair and turned on the small TV I had in my room
"Breaking News! A criminal has trapped adult citizens and children inside a building and we don't have any report of what's happening inside" The reporter said, I looked at the notebook laying on my desk
"Could this...No way, this is impossible..." I murmured and continued to watch the report as they showed the criminals information, I looked at the notebook again and laughed
"This is never going to work" I murmured but opened the notebook and gripped a pencil tightly, I felt like I had to do that, even knowing that it was stupid.

I wrote the name while thinking on the criminal's face and looked at my clock, 10 seconds, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3...I look at the TV, 2...Nothing seems to happen, 1...Nothing happened, I knew this was stupid.
"But wait! Everyone is coming out and the police is now going inside the building. We have a report that the criminal collapsed, sort of a heart attack" She said as I looked back at the Death Note with my eyes widened
"The Death Note...is real?!" I asked looking at the name written on the notebook and back at the TV, I could...Wait I heard something, I looked back and saw the most horrid creature I ever saw in my life! It had kind of grey skin and a huge smile filled with sharp teeth, his eyes were widened and yellow and it had gigantic black wings, it was staring blankly at me. I screamed and fell off my chair.
"Who the hell are you?!" I asked and started throwing books at that thing but they passed through it.

"My name is Ryuk, I am a Shinigami, who dropped that notebook" He said covering his head
"First of all, what on Earth is a Shinimagi, Shanimigi, whatever you are?! You know what? I don't even wanna know, don't bother me just leave." I said pointing at the window
"I'll be back again tomorrow" Ryuk said, I sighed, I sat there in my desk...I could clear this world from criminals and create a peaceful world. And surprising myself I started writing names in the notebook for hours. I looked at the clock and decided that I should start doing my homework it's not easy to get such perfect grades. I opened my school bag and realized I forgot my homework on the university.

I ran downstairs
"Mum! I'm going to the University!" I called as she walked towards me while I picked up my coat
"Why is that?" She asked concerned
"I forgot my homework" I explained
"This is not like you, is it a boy?" She asked even more concerned, I draw a disgusted expression
"Wha-? No! I have no time for that! Plus, boys are not worthy..." I said walking out.

I walked towards the University until I passed a bookshop, for half a second I glared at three or four guys drinking near their motorcycles
"Hey, beauty! Come have a drink with us!" One of them called as I walked faster, the other whistled
"Are you leaving us already?" The second one asked as I started to run, I could hear the motorcycles engines turning on as they rode chasing me, they surrounded me
"You're going to have a drink with us. Easy or hard way, you choose" The first one said and the third laughed gripping my arm
"Get the hell off me!" I yelled punching him in the face
"Looks like we'll have to do this the hard way..." The second one said, I saw him grinning so I frowned, why was he grinning?
I felt a sharp pain on may head and then...I blanked out...
