Kit Furry

What had just happened? Where am I? The full moon brought out the stars in the night sky. I started to walk not being able to see where I was, with my kitsunes gone. The ground underneath was unstable as I sunk into the sand with it crawling up slightly above my paws as I moved them out.

These surrounding’s looked different as fire lit up, helping me to see the area. I didn’t recognize anything at all. There was some kind of trench or pit that stretched far out into the distances where the flames came out of. Circling around me like a small lake with its blaze. There was a sea with a mountain behind it and on the other side there’s a volcano in sight. I had no way to get into the forest with the fire too high to jump over. The flames were weird with the color fire red and icy blue on the bottom, and then there was another section that had turquoise on top and green on the bottom. The flames switched those colors to the top and bottom simultaneously.

I had to do something, but right then I heard two male voices talking to each other coming closer. There were two figures on the other side of the fire. I wasn’t able to get a visually on them. It was hard to make both of them out; but it looked as if they were getting ready to jump the flames. What was causing this fire? Could this be caused by these two figures?

Then they jumped and landed on the sand in front of me. I saw who they really were, my spiritually kitsunes, though they weren’t spiritually. Their bodies were a live l…like…pure flesh and all. This can’t be…I stared at them, is this lesson NightOwl was talking about that I needed to learn?

Their powers were incredible as I felt them step toward me. If I looked long enough I could almost say that I saw two different dragons above them. Their scales were the colors of their fur I was dazzled by it.

“Well, I can see you’re fond of us!” One of the kitsunes spoke sinking their gaze into me.

“What are your names?” I asked them awaiting their answers.

“Our names are more merely than just names they describe the story of our life. Names…names will only come to the one that is worthy to earn to bare that right.” The other kitsunes replied kicking the sand into the flames that spread out into wings bursting away from the color telling a story. That was waiting to be told for a long time.

The sand stretched out both ways as the wings deteriorated with sparks of colors; that shot across the forest and volcano.

“How am I to earn your names?” I requested that information eager to learn, always loving history of someone’s life.

“This is a test you must pass by fighting each of us.” The kitsunes that had fire red fur and icy blue seemed to be the main one in charge.

“That should be easy right…?”

“Not necessarily it isn’t going to be like the test NightOwl did.”

“Huh!”

“You won’t be able to use your aura.”

“No, aura how I’m supposed to fight you,” I asked shocked from the news that hit me.

“That is up to you!”

“So I just fight one at a time, right?”

“Afraid that isn’t it, we fight together as a team.”

“What!” Fear struck me as I spoke the word with question. “I’m not experienced in skills you look like dragons. Aren’t you going to train me?”

The turquoise and green fur came over by me. “This much I’ll say for who looks in our necklaces with their wisdom, will see our true forms at state. That’s been trapped for years wrapping around our necks. That is what freezes the wolves with fear of our power.”
