The main wolf is based off an actually wolf who has these problems known as Mohawk, what is described in this did truly happened to this wolf. There is another story that describes it more, though I want to say this is fiction and if you read more you’ll understand why. If you are interested in the actually story it is called The Wolf That Lost Its Howl. Please support the wolf if you want, I know the place is in Idaho called, Wolf’s People(They accept donations at the place from their gift shop, they put that money to take care of the wolves and feed, to many people misunderstand these poor creatures too much. The guy there agreed with me and we got along real well, and there is another story called The Man Who Lives with Wolves it was a documentary and sad at some points.
