It is a wonder how abominations are born. How they take away the precious things that one could hold so close. That is what Mr. Shinotyl was thinking. As he watched the life of his lover fade, while she held the crying abomination. The hospital room filled with the cries of that wretched thing. The one who she had named Kyo. Kyo Shinotyl. Their abomination. He didn't understand why he felt such hatred toward the...thing in her hands. He knew it would happen if they had a child. He was a demon and she was an angel. It was expected. Their love however was not forbidden but it was also not accepted. Their little abomination would be shunned and live a life full of hatred and fear. He couldn't understand how she had managed to smile as the life faded from her eyes. He simply couldn't wrap his mind around it. Shouldn't they hate it? It had ruined their life, specifically his. He couldn't find another. She was the sunshine in his darkness, the light at the end of his long and twisted tunnel. He didn't understand it at all. This abomination had taken his lover from him. The one he held so dear, the one he had caressed so gently. Wandering his hands over her beautiful skin slowly and kissing her flawless lips softly. He had done all of those things. And now She lay still and cold in the hospital bed, her red hair framing her face perfectly. She was breathtakingly beautiful. She held a small smile on her lips, seeming to be at peace. He stood and went over to the still crying abomination. He took it from her hands and gazed down at it. A tear slid down his cheek as he did and his hatred for the abomination grew. The abomination almost looked exactly like her.

**Time skip***

Its been 17 years since Kyo's birth. The halfling spent a childhood of many growing difficulties. Children hated him and despised him, just as their parents taught them too. He was looked down upon, in both the angel and demon community. The boy bore many scars of the hatred his father spoke and inflicted upon him. He always felt truly alone. Kyo grew to be a boy of great academic and athletic skills, using the traits of his angelic and demonic side. He wanted to prove to his father he wasn't an abomination. That he was worthy of the family name and the love of his father. He pursued it for many years,  slowly starting to realize that his father just might actually hate him.
Seeing as the demon and angel community frowned upon the family, Kyo's father moved them to the human world. Where Kyo received the same treatment though older now.
