As soon as you arrive at the hospital you run to the front desk and ask what room number your bf/gf is in. "Room #412." All of the people look at you kind of funny but you don't care you're just trying to get to the love of your life. As soon as you reach the room you wait outside the door, trying to prepare yourself for what you're about to witness. You slowly open the door to see people crowded around a hospital bed. So many people, you have to push through to be able to see your sweetheart. As soon as you break through the crowd you look down at your bf/gf. He/she covered in cuts, bruises and burns. Broken neck, arm, and leg. You gently grab their available hand and start to sob. Your tears roll of your face and fall onto their hand. Waking them up. "Hey, y/n." You look up to see your bf/gf smiling straight at you. "I know it may look bad. But I will be fine. I promise." You stand up and kiss their forehead and reply with, "No matter what happens, we will get through this. Together." You slowly let go of their hand as you hear the nurse say, "Visiting hours are over. I'm sorry, but all of you will have to come back tomorrow." You walk towards the door but before you depart you look back to see your darling, blow you a kiss with the little energy that they have. You catch it and hold it next to your heart as you back out of the doorway. Then watch through the window as the nurse tends to their needs. As you watch, an older woman connected to a IV unit, rolling behind her, walks up to you. She look through the window with you. "She is going to be just fine. Just wait and see." The lady walks slowly back to her hospital room. *How does she know?* As you slowly walk back to your car you start remembering all of the wonderful times you two had together.
*Flashback*
"Hey, y/n! That's not how cake is supposed to be eaten!" You laugh at how adorable your bf/gf looks when they have icing on their face. "But I'm the birthday boy/girl! So, I can do whatever I want!" You yell as you run after them with a handful of cake and icing.
*End of Flashback*
As you snap back into reality you realize you are trying to unlock your car with the wrong key. You fix your mistake and drive home. On the way home, thinking about what the elderly woman said. *How could she possibly be so sure that my love will be fine?!* As soon as you arrive home you go back to watching your movie and warm up your hot cocoa. *Maybe if I just fall asleep, everything will be better tomorrow.* You drift off to sleep, on the couch, as you watch the Polar Express.
