It's Christmas morning
When I wake up
I roll on my side
To not find you there
You're not lying next to me
You're somewhere else
Around the world
Saving lives
Day after day
I miss you terribly
Like you miss the morning sun
I miss the fun we used to have
All those days gone now
All I want this Christmas
Is to be able to hold you again
Feel your warm hugs
As I go downstairs
I see Santa ate the cookies
I left out
Under the tree are
All the presents accept
The most important one

I go into the kitchen
And under the hallway there is
Mistletoe
I feel a tap on my shoulder
I must've been imagining things
But when I turn around
I see
You
Alive and well
You lean in
And kiss me passionately
Holding me tight
And never letting go
For you have missed me
For so long
As I have missed you
For the longest time
"Merry Christmas Love" you say
"Merry Christmas my one true love"
I say
And you're my Christmas Surprise
