On the walk home you don't talk much, and since y/n can't talk about her boyfriend around you anymore she doesn't have much else to talk about. After a while she breaks the silence. ''Why don't you like Gale, Luke?'' ... I don't trust him. He's a self-centered piece of shit. But I can't tell y/n that. ''I just don't think he's right for you.'' Silence. ''I mean, be honest. When he holds you close. It doesn't feel right. Does it?'' You say. She says nothing. ''I don't hate him or anything. I just care about you too much to eventually let you get hurt by someone like him.'' Y/n stares at you while you both keep walking. You don't notice it and just keep going. ''I mean, did he tell you he loves you yet? Would he be there for you and hold you when you're down? If it was me, I would.'' You say. ''But it's not you.'' Y/n says. You stop walking. ''Luke? Something wrong? Why did you stop walking?'' Y/n asks and stops too. You look down at the ground. It's not me... She's right. Then why am I so bothered by this? ''Luke?'' You ignore her. Oh you know why you're so bothered by this. Another side of you thinks. Why won't you just admit you are in love with her? - Because I'm not! The other side of you starts again. Yes you are. Don't be such a wuss and just admit it. Confess your true feelings to her. Or else you'll lose her forever. You look up and see her worried face. Without a sound you push her against the fence with you muscular arms and lean on her. ''Luke...?'' She says. ''Y/n...''  you whisper. ''The thought of you laying down in his arms tonight...'' you say while staring deeply into her eyes. ''Luke...'' y/n mumbles.

What's happening? I've never thought about luke in this way and now that he's suddenly so close saying these things... ''That thought kills me y/n'' he says. He loosens his grib and takes a step back. You're speechless. What do I say? I don't even know how I feel about this. Luke waits for you to say something but you don't, so he turns around and starts walking away. You just stand there speechless and frozen.
