I sigh, stuffing my head into my hands as the tears continue to come. I'm currently sitting on my bed, rocking back and forth slowly when a loud yell from the room next door makes me flinch.
"Mr. Sivan!" Miss Lydia frustratingly yells and I gasp as I press my ear to the wall. "I told you you are not allowed to see Jess!"
"That's not what I'm here for" Troye says rather calmly. "I simply have a request. Can a have two minutes? Just two minutes"
"Fine. Just two. They start now" The clock begins to tick.
"As soon as I got off the plane at the airport, you guys ripped her away from me. In these past couple days, I've learned a lot about Jess. I know she must be scared out of her mind. I just want to say goodbye. That's all I'm asking for. As for the injury, you can ask her yourself. It was a complete freak accident"
The timer dings.
"I suppose you can see her, Mr. Sivan. But, if she leaves this orphanage, I will have you arrested" Miss Lydia explains harshly.
"I will, Miss Stephenson. I will"
Momentarily, my door opens and I run to Troye.
"I missed you!" I cry into his chest, sobbing.
"I missed you, too, Jess. Listen, just listen, Jess. Sit down on the bed" I follow his orders. "I can't take you back just yet. I just want to let you know that everything is going to be okay. I wish I could show you how hard I'm trying to be able to keep you. The police might come, and you're going to be asked a lot of questions. I want you to be completely honest with them. Just please don't be afraid. They're just trying to get you back to me. I don't want you to ever be afraid. Because through all these strenuous interviews and stuff, it's all trying to get you back to me. It's gonna get pretty scary, I know, but don't be scared. They're just trying to help us. Turn around please, Jess" Though I am curious, I trust Troye and spin around. "There we go!" He yells once a metal tinge hits my neck. "My name right over your heart! That way you'll always know I'm with you even when I seem so far away"
As tears spring to Troye's eyes and he sniffles as he hangs his head, I move into his lap and rest my head on his chest.
"You know, Jess" Troye says, a tear hitting my arm. "I-I haven't been okay since you left. I-I've been in bed a-all day today and yesterday. I love you, Jess. And even if you don't love me, I do. And I just want you to know that. I just want you to know that" He hugs me tight and I sigh, feeling safe and secure.
"I love you, too, Troye. Please, I love you"
