Sawyer's POV
It was our fourth day in the hospital. Violet had gotten surgery to heal some of the internal wounds, and most of them were ok. Except for a few. The mental scar obviously, but also the infections.
She was getting antibiotics for the infections, and they were going away. The only thing really bothering anyone was her fear.
~Flashback~
Sawyer's POV
Violet had been out of surgery for about a day. My family was finally going to see her. When my mom walked into the room she was fine, but when my dad and brothers came in, she freaked. There was obviously fear in her eyes. When my brother put his hand on her shoulder she screamed. My dad tried to calm her down but she only screamed harder. She was having a major panic attack so we had them leave. My mom and I were the only ones who got to stay in the room with her. Until she calmed down that is. She was afraid of my brothers and my dad. It finally hit me that she was just afraid of men in general after what happened. She explained that to me. She also explained it was different with me since she knew she could trust me right off the bat. She felt terrible the rest of the day.
~End Of Flashback~
It was awful. She was afraid of everyone now. There was a male nurse last night and she wouldn't even let him take her temp. I ended up doing it for her, he just showed me how to put a cuff on her arm for blood pressure and stuff. She barely even let the female nurses do anything. My mom and I were the only ones she truly trusted. Other than my tante who came to visit her yesterday. She trusted my uncle too. Only because he's the one who took care of Garth.
The things that Garth had done to her had also left her unable to do the simplest things on her own. She hadn't walked in three weeks and her legs had become frail and weak. She couldn't walk on her own anymore. She was doing physical therapy everyday. Every time someone went to touch her, even with me she would flinch violently. When she was touched it came with a shriek or a whimper. She kept having so many flashbacks, that it looked like she had schizophrenia. She wasn't eating, and while my feeding tube was taken out, hers was put in. They had to wrap her hands so she couldn't pinch herself. It was hard to watch. It killed me to see her in so much pain. I just knew we were going to get through all this. Together.
