Chapter one • The Reunion.

The sound of loud chatter and laughter was unnoticed by Rose as she tried to get back the seven hours of sleep she missed the night before by leaning against her father as they waited for the Hogwarts Express to arrive to the 9 3/4 platform. It wasn't her fault that she needed more hours of sleep then her cousins. That and the fact she couldn't trust of coffee to keep her going like Lucy. Nor she could live normally with only two hours of sleep like Albus. Rose was Rose, with all the malfunctions and imperfections that included at least five hours of sleep every day.

"Rosie. Rosie wake up! Rose! C'mon honey, the express just arrived." The sound of her fathers soft voice woke her from her tiny stand-up nap. But what greeted her was the close-up face of dark brown mischievous looking eyes and dark raven hair that belonged to...

"James you idiot! I swear to Merlin I'll punch you in the family's jewels again if you do that one more time!" Her angry sleepy voice boomed through the platform making her mother turn to her with a familiar looking glare. Thank Merlin we're not home, Rose thought while giving her mother a apologetic look before slapping a laughing James upside in the head and punching her father on the arm.

"And you old man! Which side are you on?" Ron, accustomed to his daughter's ways just kissed her freckled cheek before turning to continue his conversation with Harry. Huffing half annoyed half tired, Rose checked her watch 10.50 am. Damn you mom to make me get out of bed at ten in the morning!

Albus, surrounded by his cousins and siblings toke note that Rose wasn't around, in fact she was leaning against the brick wall sending Aunt Hermione deaths glares with her uniform already on and her long and wavy dark ginger hair all over the place. Looks like James messed with her again.

"Don't go near the monster, it has been pocked so it's ready to release fire." James whispered to his ear getting a amused chuckle out of him.

"One day, I swear she's going to kill you." Albus whispered back making his brother shrug and start walking back to their group.

"It's not for lack of trying, I'll tell you that." James shook his head, walking away leaving a laughing Albus behind.

In a relaxed pass and calm manner that could only describe the middle child of Harry Potter, Albus Severous was seen by many as the "reasonable one". Always calm, always a carefree spirit but with a strike of responsibility that made him always look out for his family. Albus was epitome of everything Rose was not.

"But that is okay." Albus told her one day. "There's a reason to why you're called Rose and I'm Albus. We're all different but together we are stronger."

He was right. However, as Albus walked in front of his dearest cousin and best friend, Rose couldn't help but sometimes feel a little left out on all his wiseness and matureness that her mother often gushed about. Let's be honest, Rose was a lazy bum, much like her father.

"Hey there. I see you're trying to catch up on some sleep." His smirk didn't go unnoticed by Rose who punched him right in the arm making him yelp in pain and cradle his arm and pout like a small child.

"What? What did I say? C'mon Rosie, ditch the bitching act and let's socialize!" Albus fake enthusiasm and did a poor excuse for a fist bump in her arm while Rose just rolled her eyes and yawned.

"This is all your fault! What are you, a girl? Just couldn't shut that mouth last night could you?" Rose huffed rolling her big blue eyes and stomped her foot on the floor like a small child.

"Aww don't pout Rosie! You know I can't resist you when you pout!" James yelled a few feet away from them already hiding behind Dominique. As usual, Dominique didn't seem to be able to contain her emotions so she ended up being a laughing mess with her newly painted purple hair following her.
