An- hello lovely readers so first of MERRY CHRISTMAS GUYS!!!

Here's my little gift to you for Christmas. Read and enjoy

"Andrea you have visitors." Mrs. Halls' sickly sweet voice called. Huh? Oh must be a dream. I should really stop the annoying habit of daydreaming. I went back to reading the book I had borrowed from the library and it was going in a very traumatic way. The girl was just shouting out to the boy to "come down." Wait what? Why would she.. "Andrea Wilson how many times do I have to call you? Get down here" I shut the book and jumped up

"Coming. Be right there" I called out. Million thoughts crossed my mind. I had no friends or family or anyone to call my own, so who would possibly come to visit me? Was I finally going to get adopted? Oh stop it Andrea, of course not. Nobody wants a teenage child. I shook my head as I went down with a pounding heart.

I finally got down the stairs and timidly played with the hem of my shirt as I peeked into the office. I saw the back of a beautiful lady. I could tell she was beautiful even from the back. She had the softest brown hair which cascaded into curls down her back. Even though she was wearing baggy woollen clothing anyone could easily tell that she was lean. She had good height even though she was not wearing heels. She could make any model jealous. Her voice when she spoke, somehow sounded really warm and comforting and it soothed my raging pulse.

"Why are you standing there sweetheart? Come along inside" Mrs Halls said with a creepy fake smile on her face. The lady immediately turned around to see me. I gasped. If I gathered anything from just seeing her back it was just one tenth of what she actually looked. She had the kindest green eyes I had ever seen, with specs of gold. They were so electrifying. Her face was glowing without any make up at all. Her lips were stretched into a sweet smile. She was like natural beauty personified. People might usually feel jealous of someone looking so beautiful but this lady had something about her that might make jealousy seem impossible.

"Hey, Andrea right?" she asked with wide smile

"Y-y-y-yeah" Oh. My. God. she knew me? Me? I am a nobody.

"Hey dear." She said as she got up from her chair. She first put her hand out for me to shake. I just looked at it like a kid looking at a candy. "Actually forget it" Of course Andy. Why would someone like her want to even be near someone like... she suddenly wrapped her hands around me embracing me in a warm hug. Nobody had hugged me like that in so many years. The feeling felt so foreign yet so comforting. Without second thought, I wrapped my hands around her. God! Why would any teenager ever feel embarrassed hugging their mom. This felt so good. Wait, mom? Where did that come from? Stop it Andy. Just enjoy the moment when it lasts. You are never going to have a mom. I scolded myself as she pulled away.

"Kate talks about you all the time sweetie, she misses you a lot. She said she was used to hearing you sing before sleeping. She absolutely adores your voice." She said with a small smile. "from what I hear, you are an exceptionally talented singer." Oh Kate!

Mrs Halls suddenly snorted from behind me and tried disguising it with a cough when both of us turned to look at her. "I'm sorry. Talented singer?" she said with a small smile as if teasing me.

"Yeah. Kate talks about her voice all the time" the lady said with a confused voice. "You do sing to her don't you?" she turns towards me and asked. My throat felt really dry and before I could answer Mrs. Halls interrupted me

"I'm sorry. She is just really desperate to get adopted. She must have asked the poor child to spread rumours about her supposedly exceptional voice Mrs. Johnson" she said quoting 'exceptional voice' in the air.
