Chapter 9

You were currently getting help with your corset. Since this was a costume ball, you had a pirate dress that Symphony picked out.

Honestly, you were worried. The guy that we know committed the crimes is either going to be at the ball, or very close to the manor. His next victim will be going to the ball, so we need to keep a close eye on her, and who is talking to her.

We all decided on a plan. I will be in the left part of the dance hall, keeping an eye on the victim and the suspect. Ciel will be in the right part of the dance hall, doing the same as me. Alois would be staying close to the suspect and victim, making sure nothing weird happens. If any of us see something out of the ordinary, we will tell our butlers to report it to the others.

This was our plan.

The ball is starting in an hour, and you finally finished what you needed to finish. You were wearing a pirate costume. You had dress picked out by Symphony, and you had a small hat on the side of your head. Honestly, you didn't like you costume, but everyone else did.

You were currently sitting in Ciels study, along with Alois. You were play chess with Ciel, and Alois was angry about...something. Alois asked if he could play chess earlier, but Ciel wanted to play with you since you were the only person that could beat him.

People were starting to arrive, and you all started to head down. You headed to the left side of the dance hall, Alois came with you since neither the suspect or the victim were here yet. Ciel went to the door to greet the guests.

You and Alois were talking about random things, since you already knew what to do.

"Hey F/N" Alois said, quietly

"Yeah? What's wrong Alois?"

"I'm not sure about this...I-I don't want you to get hurt" he said, tearing up a little

"Alois, I've done things like this many times. I won't get hurt." You said calmly

"I-I-i know- just-" he stopped talking. Before you could say anything, he crashed his lips to yours.

You eyes widened

He pulled away

"Don't leave me F/N" he said, tearing up and looking down.

"Don't worry Alois, I wont" you said, smiling

"R-Really? You promise?" He said, looking up again

"I promise" you said

Alois smiled, and skipped over to his spot in the dance hall. You just kind of stood there, thinking. That is the third time that something like that has happened during your stay at the Phantomhive manor. First Ciel, then Sebastian, and now Alois. You were very flustered, you were in a love triangle- no, square! You were very flustered, and you didn't notice a certain noble and his butler looking very angry about what just happened.

You had been watching the suspect and victim for an hour and a half now. You noticed that the suspect was about to make his move, so you told Symphony to inform Ciel and Alois that it was time to move.

The victim that we figured out was Mckenzie Giëvenhielm, a German noble that came here because of an arranged marriage.

She had just left with the suspect.

Me, Alois, and Ciel snuck out of the dance hall, and went after them.

What is going to happen?
