When every human feels a powerful emotion, that is the feeling of the emotion holders at work.
Each emotion originates from a holder- someone who looks human- but isn't. The holders are kept in hiding and have never been seen... until one day, seventeen year old, Kai Runner, is kidnapped and ends up in the holoders' hiding place. As part of the prophecy, Kai must save all the holders from terrible danger, or he can become the danger himself.
