Buried is a 2010 Spanish thriller film directed by Rodrigo Cortés. It stars Ryan Reynolds and was written by Chris Sparling.
The story is about Iraq-based American civilian truck driver Paul Conroy (played by Ryan Reynolds), who, after being attacked, finds himself buried alive in a wooden coffin, with only a lighter, flask, flashlight, knife, glowsticks, pen, pencil, and a mobile phone.

The movie was mix of different things with a very very different way of telling a story. The movie directed by the Spanish director had very artistic way of telling a story. Buried was one of those movies that will have you on an emotional roller coaster that last for 94 minutes, that is if you can handle the claustrophobic air and tight placement that comes with it. I say that because one of things that I quite enjoy about this movie and what sets it apart from other films is the fact that the movie contained no cut outs nor flashbacks it's just you and Paul played by Ryan Reynolds being cosy in that tight coffin(what more could anybody want?). I feel with all my heart that the director really did the movie justice with how he shot the film. The tension will literally leave you nail-less from beginning to end.The performance that Reynolds put up was nothing short of beautiful, the emotions displayed on the screen was raw, gritty, and powerful. It was the kind that made you shiver with anticipation of what's next to come, the bed-wetting type fear coming from the guy only added to the angst-filled movie. The end was unexpected but it had me wondering about what the ending truely ment, which made the ending very satisfying to watch.
All in all the movie was one big compliment, I truly recommend this to anyone who likes Ryan Reynolds acting and is a fan of a little thriller/angst. Seriously you can't go wrong with this movie, correction you will not go wrong with this movie.
