*Through Sophie's perspective*
We were having so much fun
Finally not being on the run
My feet cool and free
But then I heard him... and went stiff like a tree
He said something that I couldn't hear
For I was too consumed by fear
But then I remembered, my feet were cool... and FREE
And I couldn't believe that this was happening to me
I had been taught very well
That if a stranger saw my toes, I'd go through hell
David threw me my shoes
And walked up to the boy with very different views
About what should happen to me and my family.
