As usual every morning I got kicked, slapped, verbally abused gosh I could go on for a lifetime. But it got worse today a new boy. He tried to introduce himself to me. But I couldn't stand him he would just turn into everyone else. Mean and vicious. The gang of boys came round my corner and started as normal. Making me feel weak, helpless and vulnerable to everybody. I just can't take it no more. They walled away except for the new boy he looked crushed to see just what happened. I slid to the floor in a ball head on my knees and arms wrapped around my skinny legs. It just pored out. I cried. I felt a warm soft hand lift my chin up to face a messy haired boy who now that I think of is extremely handsome. "It will all work out," He said trying to reassure me "Yeah right. They hate me everybody here hates me." I whispered struggling to stop my voice from shaking. He helped me get up then handed me a tissue. "By the way I'm Alfie." He said. "I'm Zoe. Thanks for helping me I really appreciate it." And with that he disappeared round the corner making me feel unsafe again. I gathered my stuff and walked down to English class. I walked into class and sat down on a lonely table I bent down and picked out my book and text books. The seat next to me pulled open. As I looked round I saw Alfie. "Excuse me, you do realize I sit here and I am a loner." I said. He returned with "yeah I know, but you can't always be a loner. I am happy to sit next to you. I've also heard your very smart so I could copy your work once in a while." "Really?" I asked sarcastically. "Yeah, why else would I sit next to you." He replied. I was pissed off quite a lot. Even more pissed off that he said he could use me. Dick head. I opened my English book and started to get on with my work and having Alfie leaning over me once in a while to have a look at what I was writing. It actually felt comfortable or right.
