Lizzie and Restless night

Zoe POV
The night was restless. Lizzie ended up sleeping attached to a drip after she had a panic attack and I calmed her down. I couldn't get to sleep and Dad and Joe had been asked to leave as they couldn't stay here all night.

I woke up and found Lizzie sat at the bottom of her bed playing on a cute little ipad. I sat up and combed my hair with my hands. I checked my phone and found: 34 messages from Joe. 2 messages from Dad. 12 messages from Alfie and 23 messages from Charlie. I went straight to Joes.

Are you okay?
Do they treat you well?
Have you eaten dinner? And so on
Dad's said good night and get well soon hunny bunny. I ignored Alfie's and went to see charlies. She said she's going to come and visit me today with alfie and Marcus. Great. Thanks Charlie. "Are you okay?" I hear a little voice whisper. "Yes thank you Lizzie. You know you should get some rest it's half 4 in the morning." I say. "I know," she sighs " I normally wake up this time in the morning. You didn't sleep last night did you?" I shook my head. My phone rung and I guested to lizzie to hold on a second. The caller ID is Alfie. Why on earth would Alfie be calling me at such time in a morning? I answer it either way.

A: hello?
Z: hi alfie
A:Zoe thank god are you okay?
Tears swift slowly down my eyes. I can't bear to tell him.
A:Zoe? Are you okay?
I end the call Lizzie looks at me and runs over to my bed. I lift her up and set her on my lap. She nuzzles in my neck and falls asleep. I place her in my bed and lift the cover over her. She cuddles up to her fluffy pink rabbit teddy. I sit on the end of the bed and watch her snooze off. I grab my phone and look through Instagram for a while until about 6 am. Lizzie is still fast asleep. Good for her.
