"Louis..." I groaned as nudged my arm while I smeared on lipstick. He caused the bullet to draw a quick line off my top lip and onto the side of my cheek. "Now look what you did!"
He laughed and hugged me from behind, his arms going around my waist. "It's not that bad. I find it completely sexy...and it's amazing to have you here."
"Well isn't someone sweet. Now I suggest you get off of me before I forget about that and have to focus back on the lipstick all over my face." He backed up and I wetted a piece of toilet paper and wiped the coral pink smudge off my face.
He slid over to the spot next to me and pumped some hair styling product into his hand, then began coming it through the front to make it a quiff. "So, I'll pick you up around three here and we'll go get dinner tonight or something."
I pulled the mascara wand through my lashes and agreed. "That sounds good. Do you have a meeting with the boys tonight or..."
The hotel room's door opened and Liam came in. My heart stopped, thinking it was one of the other three. Beyond Liam, no one else knew about Louis and I. Liam only found out because he could be totally trusted. He was actually the one who picked me up from the airport three days ago because Lou had to be at the recording studio in the morning.
"Are you almost ready mate?" He asked Louis. "The limos are waiting out front for us."
I pushed myself on top of the counter and sat. "Are you sure you'll be okay here until I get back?"
"I'll be fine, Lou. Just go. I won't answer the door or the phone unless it's mine." He gripped me into a hug and kissed me. I walked behind him all the way until he went out the door. Liam gave me a strange look as he exited and closed the door behind him. Come to think of it, they both seemed a little off today now that I noticed.
This is the part that sucked about our relationship. We both didn't want it to go public. My reasoning was to keep my identity as an individual. I never wanted people to consider me what I used to be labeled as. My sister and I were always a packaged deal...and now that we've gone out seperate ways, I've finally gotten the chance to be my own person. I finally got the chance to live in my own world where no one would compare me to her...because no one knew.
I combed through my long light brown hair with my hands and went back to stand in front of the mirror. I wanted to break it because I looked to much like myself and like the girl who crushed my dreams. My bright green eyes were the only thing that was different about my appearance. That's why I always liked them. I heard my ringtone flood in from the bedroom and went to see what Louis wanted.
"Hey babe," I answered.
She cleared her throat. "Is this Caycee?" It wasn't her, I tried to tell myself.
"Yes." I replied sternly. "Beatrice...why are you calling me. I really have nothing to say to you."
"Look, this isn't a call to ask you how your goddamn day is going. Why am I dating Liam Payne?" She interrogated me from the other end. "Answer me."
What? "Because you're in love with him? I don't even understand you right now!"
She muttered something under her breath. "You don't want to explain why he was trying to hide me from the paparazzi at a coffee shop in London earlier this week?" The paparazzi? In London? But I was the only one with Liam there...and that was three days ago...oh. "He's confessed to the reporters and his managers have confirmed the fact that we're seeing each other."
How did Liam find out about my sister?! Did he get a hold of my phone somehow? "How did you find out. Tell me now. Beatrice you don't understand. I don't want anyone to know about...us."
"Yeah, well neither do I," she continued, "give me Liam Payne's number right now."
"No way! I'm not having you bitch him out when Ican do it myself. Call me back later." I hung up and immediately dialed his number before he picked up. "Care to explain to me who Beatrice Lowe is?"
"Shit," I heard him sigh. "Caycee I really don't have time for this right now."
"Deal with me now, or deal with me later when I'm even more pist off. I thought you said I was totally covered yesterday. So how the hell did Beatrice get dragged into this?"
"I only did it to protect you and Louis. I have no idea who this Beatrice girl is." He shifted the phone to his other ear and began again. "Management says she looked just like you. I didn't deny it so no one would find out about you. I knew you two wanted to keep it private...and I don't want to see you two separated a because of it."
"Oh," I managed to say. I felt like a totally asshole after trying to blow up on him now.
His end of the phone went silent for a few minutes. "Management is now forcing us into a relationship. Little Mix's manager and ours is having a meeting over lunch today about it." Well, if Bea wasn't happy before she's not going to be now. "There's no way with their busy recording schedule and ours for both our new albums that we can go out if public together. So the first time we'll even see each other is at the British Artist Music Festival backstage. I don't care as long as you're happy." He said to me, and my heart fluttered. "And if she looks like you, I can handle dating her. I mean, she's bound to be beautiful."
Did Liam Payne just call me 'beautiful'? Me? Caycee January, girlfriend of his band mate? "Um...well I'm sorry I called and about ripped your head off."
"I'm sorry for taking you out with me for as long as I did, or we wouldn't have been busted-"
"Stop, okay." I blushed and steered my face away from a forming a smile. "Just...thank you. For doing this."
"Like I said, anything for you. I really have to get back to the band meeting or they'll think I've fallen in the toilet. I left to take the call. I'll talk to you later."
After we ended our call, I tried to phone Beatrice. "Bea, we need to talk."
"What is it?" She sounded nervous.
"I called Liam...and...we went out for coffee that day. It was supposed to be a private meeting; long story short. Your manager is talking with his. They're forcing you two into a relationship."
Her phone dropped. "What?! With him?!"
"That's what he says," I tried to explain to her. "Look, you have to go along with it if you don't want to be branded again."
"Go along with it! He's not my boyfriend he's yours! I don't even know him and-"
I rubbed the side of my face while I spoke, getting more stressed as the seconds through this conversation went by. "He's not my boyfriend. I met him at a club out here and that is it. We went to coffee." I didn't mention to her about Louis and I. "Please. Don't tell anyone about me and I'm going to keep Liam away as far away as possible from finding out what you look like. Okay?"
"I would totally take that as an insult if it weren't for our situation." She half heartedly laughed through the speaker. "I'll go along with it. But you need to straighten this out. And, look Casey..."
"Yes?"
"Keep in touch a little bit, okay." So I guess it wasn't the apology I'd been looking for since the last time we talked.
I twirled a piece of my hair in my fingers while I decided what to answer her with. "Okay." She ended the call and I set my phone down on the bed.
