Once they arrive on Esquire, all Chancy hears is, "the princess has returned! Welcome home the princess! Welcome home Princess Chancy!" Her face is lit up in amazement and joy. The maids gather round her and shuffle her upstairs to get her changed into her princess gown for the welcome home ball. Chancy is excited. It turns out she wasn't so normal after all; that she was royalty all along.
At the ball that night, Chancy is the guest of honor. She's on the balcony steps with her parents once more. She's glad to be home. Chancy enjoys a dance with a young prince. They do a waltz and have a wondrous time. Chancy couldn't be happier. She is having the time of her life as the newly found princess of Esquire Island. She is overjoyed to be home at last.
