Final Author's Note

Blood Ties, my second attempt at writing a romance novel (and I think this time I actually managed to pull it off!) I finally got to the end so a thanks are no wan order, first, to God who is the reason for all I am and all I do. His love is truly amazing and I've been blessed beyond what I deserve.

This novel you (hopefully) just finished was started on November 4, 2015 for NaNoWriMo. So needless to say this draft is full of errors, inconsistences, misspellings, grammar errors, weird pacing, characters that didn't get a chance to develop as much and a whole host of other things! And yet now, the story has 11,692 reads! So all of you reading are amazingly awesome people for being able to enjoy this book despite it's numerous flaws!

For those wondering, I did complete the challenge and wrote 50K words in a month but sadly, the novel was not done at that length! The final word count is 103,464! Just three thousand, four hundred and sixty-four words over double the NaNo goal! I don't know why but I found it neat!

As always, I want to thank you wonderfully supportive people for sticking with Damon and Ember while I went about telling their story. I couldn't ask for a more amazing readership and though I am an author, I do not have the proper words to express how much of a wonderful impact you've had on my life and how much your continued support for me and my works mean to me. Special shoutout to the Fantasy Heroines who were always there to calm me down after writing difficult scenes or to encourage me while I was maddeningly trying to do NaNo! To be honest I don't even remember how I met you wonderful women, but I am so glad I did. Your friendship means so much to me! I love you guys!

Also I want to answer a question I've gotten a few times: how did I manage to update so fast? Well that's easy! Right up until the last chapter, I had three to five chapters prewritten! Yes, my secret is out! The chapters you saw me post almost daylily were up to days and even some a week old! While you guys were reading chapter one, I was halfway through writing chapter five! So for those who think I'm some mad writing ninja-nope! I'm just prepared! =P

I've only been asked this once, but I'm going to address this here in case it comes up again; is there a second book. The answer is no. I have no plans at this time (or any time I can foresee) to write a sequel or companion novel to Blood Ties. Ember and Damon's story is finished and I don't need to tell it anymore, wherever they are going now, I think they're going to be okay. =)

I had a blast writing Blood Ties, it was a wonderful creative challenge for me and I hope, despite everything wrong with this draft, that you were able to enjoy it too. I thank you all, again, so much for your amazing support and encouragement.

Write on! =)
