Regine's P.O.V.
Vanilla scented candles, red roses....
'Is another bitch gon' pop out of nowhere again?' I asked Kevin.
'No' he chuckled.
'Here you go wonderful couple' Devin said handing us food. 'Tonights special is chicken Marsala with champagne.'
'I know y'all underaged so y'all better not drink too much.' Shana said peeping her head in.
We giggled
'Omgosh. Devin this is so good' I said digging in.
'Thank you. Its one of my best meals.' He said fixing up his apron.
The room was so dark. And all that lit it up was 5 candles. Tracing the points of a star.
'Is there anything else you want to surprise me with?' I said sarcastically knowing there is more hopefully.
'Yeah follow me.' He grabbed my hand. We slowly walked up the stairs. Once we got to Devin's roof I saw a little lawn chair type shit. But the champagne glasses and chocolate covered strawberries were here so why not.
We looked into the deep night sky and stared at the starts trying to connect them.
I got up and walked over to the ledge and looked down at the city streets filled with cars every night.
I felt two warm arms wrapped around me, as the night was pretty chilly. I turned to face Kevin. He leaned in, as I did to.
"I want to be done with all of this arguing. I'm sorry just for everything with all my heart. Honestly, I can't live another day. *sings* ♬ All I do is think of you, day and night, I can get you out my mind, I think about, you all the time ♬ At this point this is the only way to prove it."
He got down on one knee,
"Regine, we just met few days ago. But its been hectic. I know Mama Shana already said that you can stay as long as you want with us. But I want you to stay with me forever. Now this isn't going to be an engagement ring. But here is a promise ring. I got my name carved in yours and your name carved in mine. I don't ever wanna loose you ever again."
"Kevin I am sorry for everything as well. I love you as far as beyond the stars. Baby we gonna be together forever no matter what. Promise?"
"Promise"
