Fornaseeing

First day

I stepped out of the car. I was here, finally here. Me, just plain old Amy was actually going to one of the best university in the UK. I could not believe it.

"Aaahhh I can't believe my baby is going to Uni, she has grown up so fast" my mum shrieked so loud I was sure the whole school could hear her.

"Ok mum I get it now just SHUT UP!" I told her firmly.

"Right ok sorry honey, here is you bags"

I took my bags from my mum, gave her a hug and she said "I will miss you so much, Amy, remember you can call me and text me anytime"

" I know mum, I will miss you too" I said slightly sarcastically but I really did mean it.

We shared one last hug and I went to find the office.

When I got to the office there was a very big queue. I waited in it and when I finally got to the front there was a lady sitting at the desk.

"Hello, what is your name?" She said briskly

"Amy Summer" I said happily

"Right ok, here is you room key" she said handing me a keycard and a map of the school "and here is a map of the school, your dorm is circled here, room 47, your timetable and times of the school is on your desk in your dorm, have a good day, Next!"

I walked away studding the map. "So I go down this corridor and right here then left at the end of that corridor" I muttered to myself

I turned the corner to where my dorm should be. Dorm 65. Dam, I had missed my dorm. I looked back down at the map and started to walk back the way I came.

"Hey, are you ok" I heard someone to my right say. I looked round to see short black hair, his eyes were the perfect shade of sea blue, his nose flicked up at the end and that smile was just perfect.

"Hello, anyone in there?" He said jokingly.

"Oh um yeh I am fine just a bit lost" I said snapping out of my daydream and realising I was staring at him

"Ok, where are you trying to go?" He asked kindly

"dorm 47"

"Oh yeh I know where that is follow me" he said walking off. I decided to follow him as I didn't have many other options.

"So I guess your new here?" He asked a few minuets after we started walking

"Yeh it's my first day" I replied. We went quiet again.

"So here you are" he said when we arrived

"Thanks!" I said "I am Amy by the way"

"Nice to meet you Amy, I am Jake" he said with a smirk on his face

"Nice to meet you too, I will maybe see you around?" I said opening the door to my dorm

"Yeh see ya around" he said walking away.

I stepped inside my dorm. My roommate had not arrived yet so I went up to the desk next to the bed on the right. There was a timetable with the name Katie Saunders on it. "That must be my roommate's" I thought as I walked across the room to the other bed. I sat down on the bed and placed my bags beside it. I let out a breath. I was here, I could not believe it. I was sitting in my own dorm in university, finally.
