Touma x Reader [ONE-SHOT]

Not long after Futaba broke up with Touma did [Y/N] appear. Although [Y/N] wasn't Touma's closest friend, she was always there to comfort him if anything went wrong. Ever since they were little. Childhood friends you may call them, but their feelings towards each other were never mutual. For Touma only sees [Y/N] as a childhood friend, but [Y/N] has a whole different view for Touma. [Y/N], however, being the quiet and shy one, was never a popular girl in their school. So it was very hard for her, now all grown up kind of, to approach Touma without being flustered or interuppted by other girls.

She might have been a tad bit jelous when Touma and Futaba were together, and been a wee bit relieved when they broke up, but she put her feelings aside and came to him when she heard the news.

"Hey. How's your new life as SINGLE-PRINGLE going?"

"Now's not the time for jokes, [Y/N]... I appreciate the effort though." Touma's head was flat on the desk when she talked to him.

"Sigh, well what else do you expect me to do? You just broke up with your first love. The only thing I can do is just try to cheer you up." [Y/N] sat on the nearest table to him.

"First....Love?"

"Yeah. Isn't Futaba your first love? I've never seen you fawn over any girl other than her." [Y/N] hinted a bit of sadness at the end.

"Not really...Thanks though. For always comforting me, even though we're not always seeing each other." He slowly turned to face her.

"Hahaha, well that's why my job is to comfort you, you've been such a crybaby ever since elementary!"

"N-No! That's not....true."

Moments of silence was all there was before Touma decided to speak again.

"Hey,"

"Hm?"

"Can i rest for awhile?"

"Huh? O-Of course! I'll just... go and...give you some time alone.."

Just as [Y/N] was about to leave, Touma grabbed her wrist and pulled her to his lap.

"Ah!"

"Let me finish my sentence at least. Can i rest for awhile...with you?"

"Ha? W-What do you mean??"

"Exactly what it means. Please...Just for 10 mins..." Touma played his head on [Y/N]'s back as he dozed off. She was really glad he couldn't see her face at that moment because it was extremely red!

"You idiot..."

After around 10-15 minutes, Touma got up and the two of them walked home together. Being childhood friends, they also live quite close to each other. And on that same night, Touma called [Y/N] and asked her something:

"So? Will you go?" He asked very excited.

"Uhm...Maybe. It'll be at night, right?"

"Yeah, but still! It's the biggest party ever! Everyone from school will be there!"

"Don't you have someone to go with?"

"Well...I had, till we broke up..."

"O-Oh! Sorry, I forgot...about that. But should I, really?"

"Why not?"

"I mean, you're very popular among everyone. I'm sure if you go alone someone would be dancing all night with you. And look at me...Hardly anyone knows me...That's why you should-"

"I'm not a kid."

"Huh?"

"Stop treating me like i'm the same person 5 years ago! I can make my own decisions, and you don't need to choose 'what's best for me'."
