Victoria\'s POV

The next morning when i woke up my mind instantly went to Tucker. Looking around my room it became painfully clear to me that even though i had spent the past years trying to block him out i had never really done a good job of it.

My walls were decorated with memories of him, pictures of us playing together as kids. Me on my first pony, him holding the halter. There was even a picture of us in the bathtub together, now if anyone saw that picture now i knew Tuck would kill me.

There were years worth of memories here, which just made it more obviouse that i had been more willingly to forgive him then i thought.

Even though he was most definitly not completely forgiven yet.

I was just giving him a chance now.

I got out of bed and ran a brush through my hair. I had taken out the black extensions the night before so now my hair was just a smooth waterfall of gold. I pulled on my wranglers and a grey tank top. Pulling on my socks and boots i left the room without even bothering with make-up, if you asked me it was overrated anyway.

Walking into the kitchen i grabbed my to go cup and filled it with coffee. I was reaching for my sunglasses that were sitting on the counter when i heared someone enter the kitchen.

\"Where are you off to?\"

I looked over my shoulder. Tucker was standing in the doorway, his hair was slightly messed but otherwise he was completely dressed. The bruises from last night had darkened, including two dark bruises under his eyes from the broken noes he had recieved....defending me.

\"Im going to check the cows\" I said \"The ones on the other property\"

When i said the other property i meant the cattle that we had on a nabouring piece of land. It was still ours, just not conected, it would be about a fourty five minute drive.

\"Do you mind if i tag along?\" He asked, stepping into the kitchen and grabbing his own cup

When he stepped forward to fill the cup he came very close. I could see the tiny bruises from where a fist had connected with his cheek bone. I felt a twinge of guilt.

\"Sure\" I said \"Lets go\"

What i didnt antisipate though was how awkward it would be. I let Tucker drive, giving me the oppurtunity to relax in the passenger seat and drink my coffee. But even with the radio on in the background the silence between us was  defeaning. Every now and again i would sneak glances over at Tucker, wincing everytime the sun would flicker through the trees and shine on one of his face, lighting up the bruises that covered his once practically perfect features.

\"Your starring\" He said, keeping his eyes on the road, i felt my cheeks flush

\"I just feel really bad\" I said \"I mean, your purple everywhere!\"

Tucker shrugged his shoulders and grinned

\"Makes me look tougher\" He said

 I rolled my eyes, men

TWO HOURS LATER

\"Well thats all of them\" Tucker said

I watched the last calf run past me, he was right they were all here.

\"Alright\" I said, turning and heading back to the truck \"Lets get out of here\"

I hoped in the passenger seat and Tucker got into the drivers. I put my shades on my eyes and he turned the key.
