Tori was my best friend since we were 14

I never thought i'd think of her differently, but we grew up and things changed

When i was 19 I started noticing things about her that i hadn't noticed before

Like the way her hair would always fall in place perfectly when she was running

Or that her teeth were a pearl white

Tori is perfect

And it was hard to hide the fact that i really liked her

She would say the cutest things

I'd always wanted to be there to protect her, but couldn't.

To say everything would be okay, and cuddle her sorrows away

I felt like she liked me back, some things she would say, the fact that she would look at me the way she did, and how she would always cuddle next to me and hold my hand

But what if thats just her way of being
I dont want to assume things

One day tori and i decided to go to the beach and go cruise on our penny boards on the boardwalk and see where the night took us...

"Your so slow!" tori laughed as she cruised in front of me with her white penny board

"Oh really"
I cruised infront of her, forcing her to slow down

"First person to the booth has to pay for pizza" tori said with a smirk

"Oh its on"
I said

I jumped of my board and started running, it was faster

"Hey no fair!" I heard tori say behind me

"You never said how we could get there" i said running with my pink flip flops on

I heard tori running behind me

"I got here first, whos slow now?"
I smirked

"Ugh"

"Now tori, for being such a good sport, heres your pizza"

I handed her a slice of pepperoni pizza

She jokingly punched me in the arm and tried to hold in a laugh

We ate our pizza and headed down to the waves

I was in the water when i noticed tori, sitting on the sand like a 3 year old, making a castle

Treating the castle with such care, protecting it and giving every wave that went on it a pout

she doesn't make this secret easy does she

"Um tori what are you doing"

"protecting my castle from the mean waves"

"Your so weird"
I laugh

"You love me i know"
She laughed

"I really do" i said under my breath

"What?"
"Nothing"

Theres something about the ocean, and tori that i loved together

We were at the beach for longer than i expected

Running along the beach all day actually tires you believe it or not

Tori sat down in the spot were her little castle was

You could barelly see it now that the waves had ate it up

She layed down on the sand and put her head on the dissolved castle using it as a pillow

I was in the water when i started to get cold and went out

I noticed that tori had drifted into a sleep

"Bestfriendd"
I nudged her

"Tori wake up"

"Huh"
She said

"Y/n im tired"
"Toriii"
Tori started falling back asleep

"Ughh" i said

I picked her up onto her board and pushed her along the sand

It was easier now that we were on the boardwalk

I got really tired

I layed down next to my castle and slowly started drifting to sleep, the sight of y/n in the water gave me peace

She was beautiful, i knew there was something about her ever since we were kids, but i could never put it to words

I drifted slowly to sleep under the stars
"Bestfriendd"
I felt a nudge
"Tori wake up"

"Im tired"
I said barely opening my mouth

"Ughh"
She picked me up and put me on my board and pushed me along the beach side

That was cute

Shes anyones girlfriend goals

I leaned back on her as she pushed me onto the board walk and to the parking lot where the truck was

I pushed tori lazily next to the car door and picked her up onto the seat

I put our boards into the back of the truck and got on the drivers seat

Tori looked mad and frustrated
She had her arms crossed and looked up to the sky like she wanted to cry

"Tori whats wrong?-"

"Why do you do that?"

"Do what?-"

"Be so nice to me all time, protecting me with your life,always defending me from insults even if theyre true, treating me as if i was your princess, why do you-..."

She continued talking

She was near crying
I could tell
Her voice was shaking

Toris pov

Y/n picked me up and sat me on the the car seat

I hate hiding the fact that i love her

Y/n is always so caring towards me and i cant even say anything about it

She sat down in the drivers seat and noticed my frustration

"Tori whats wrong?-"
I was getting everything of my chest tonight

"Why do you do that?"

"Do what?-"

(Tori starts talking quickly)

"Be so nice to me all time, protecting me with your life,defending me from insults even if they are true, treating me as if i was your princess, why? Like that one time when you brought me ice cream when i was sad or when you helped me study all night for finals or when you carried me all the way home when i fell of my bike"

"Your so special to me y/n" i said quietly and quickly

I cupped my hand on her cheek and with no hesitation put my lips on hers

Mid kiss i felt her smile on my lips

"I see your no longer frustrated"
I laugh as she holds in her exitement

"How could i be frustrated when i now have everything i've ever wanted"
