This is a short little song that I am writing for the #TeamAlex portion of the #WhichTeam competition hosted by xFakingaSmilex.

Everybody seems to have someone
Somebody they can call their own
While I'm over here with books and my guitar
Drinking my cups of coffee all alone
But you see, I have great friends and family, too,
And that's all I'm interested in right now,
Sure, sometimes it might be kind of nice to find someone to love.
The thing is, I've still got a lot of my life to live and for now,
Chorus:
The single life is doing well for me
I have other, more important, responsibilities
I can take some time to make sure that I'm doing alright
It feels pretty great to live the single life
There's a lot less heartbreak and a lot less tears,
But I know that in one of the future years
I'll eventually leave the single life behind
Right now, I'm doing well living the single life.
