My Purpose

Chapter 3(part 2)

Still Saturday, August 25,2016

I rush downstairs and see my mom on the couch watching tv and eating dorritos.
"Hey mom, Jake's here... bye!!! Love you.. be back in a few hours. "

"Love you sweetheart, have fun"

I go slowly open the door and see Jake about to press the doorbell.

"Ohh heyy Summer, I thought you were still in your room. Anyways, You ready to go hang out.. Oh fuck it, its a date"

"Um, yea of course", I slowly say trying really hard not to blush.

We start walking I feel him put his arm around my shoulders. His touch feels so relaxing, I want it to last forever. Honestly the fact that we are close now gives me hope that we'll be something more than just friends in the future.

The drive there was silent but nice. Sometimes its okay to stay in silence but when its with the right person.

We decided to watch The Boy, a horror movie, who doesnt like a good scare. There are multiple stores in the area so we decide to walk by while we wait for the movie.
We decide to go to Yogurtland, and we both end up sharing a cup.
As we are messing with the sample cups, my stupid self spilled the frozen yogurt all over my hands.
We both look at each other and just smile. As Jake is helping me clean the yogurt off my hands, he stares at me for a few seconds. For a moment there, I thought he was going to kiss me but then he looked down and began to laugh.
Then after ten minutes of struggling to find the right flavors, we finally start to eat the yogurt.

20 minutes later

Jake and I just finished talking and eating the yogurt so we decide to go to the movie theater.

As we are walking towards the theater, jake stops for a moment.

"Summer, do you mind if I hold your hand?"

"Why yes of course I do not mind my dear", I say to Jake trying not to laugh.

We enter the room and thirty minutes into sitting there, the movie finally begins.

When I least expected it Jake stopped holding my hand and moves it to my arm. Then he comes closer to me and leans in for kiss. The kiss didn't last long but I wanted it to last forever. I didn't let go because I obviously wanted it.

How can I not fall for Jake. Now I know that he could feel the same but I'm too scared to ask him out or anything. Right now, all in sure of are my feelings.
